@Applesandbananas: I have a unique maiden name and we are the only ones in the country to have it! I was proud to give my son it as a middle name but honestly he'll probably get made fun of for it. It's weird

I would've considered it if my maiden name were an actual first name, but it isn't and I didn't want LO to have a weird/uncommon middle name. MIL's maiden name is Walker and we would've likely used that for a middle name if we'd had a boy.

I would have been open to it, but my maiden last name is a little unusual. It's currently my middle name.
