Okay. I have been having some of the worst nightmares of my life lately. Even if they aren't nightmares, just vicid/weird/crazy dreams, they feel so real and I often wake up crying, sweating, and yelling!
Anyone else experience this??

I'm not pregnant, but I always have very vivid dream so I'm curious to see how they change when I am pregnant!
Last night I dreamed that my DH and I were in vegas for a work function and HE went into labor (previously unaware that HE was pregnant) and had a baby boy on the couch where we were staying in vegas with no support from any doctor/anyone else. Then I breastfed the baby. It wasn't even weird at the time that the man was the one having the baby....

I dream all the time that I give birth, start breastfeeding him, and then a huge catastrophe happens. Once the world went into anarchy and we had to hide out in the North Pole.

I believe its due to the surge of and high levels of progesterone --very crazy!!

YES absolutely. They're not terrifying (most of the time) but they are so vivid and real, I wake up in a panic sometimes or doubting it didn't happen!
I dream about a lot of people I used to know very clearly, which is super strange! Like they never left my life!

Glad I'm not the only one!
@wahine08: I have sex dreams about the most random people in my life. Ones I'm not even sexually attracted to! WEIRD!

@luckypenny: yes!! I'm terrified of spiders, and during my pregnancy with Chloe I would be awake but asleep?? I could see spiders running across my wall but couldn't move. I was terrified! I used to scream bloody murder and run out of the bedroom.
My husband played along the first few times & "looked" for my dream spiders. He never found any bugs.
I freaked him out so badly one time that we both slept on the couch for a week LOL

@luckypenny: Yep!! I had the most vivid dreams during the whole pregnancy. Some were good (um, sexyyy) and some, not so good!

@LovelyPlum: ughhh. Mine are usually about something awful happening to DD. Last night she was in the water and kept gettin stung by stinging fish. She was reaching her arms out to me and crying but for some reason I couldn't help/get to her. I was sobbing when I woke up

Thankfully never nightmares, but I had some of the most intensely realistic sex dreams when I was pregnant...like, hands-free completion sex dreams.
It was awesome.

With DD I had recurring dreams that I gave birth to a cat and was breastfeeding it. SO weird.
With #2, I have had LOTS of vivid dreams. I had a horrible dream that involved DD and I could have sworn it was real. I won't even explain it to anyone because I am scared to even think about it again.

I've had vivid dreams my whole life, but now they seem to have gotten more bizarre and chaotic. I get angry a lot in them, or other people are angry. The sex dreams are nice though, but a lot of the time when a dream is headed that way I remember DH exists and either turn down my random dream partner or agonize over whether DH would be okay with it if I asked him permission first.
@Lindsay05: I've had the cat baby dream too. It was adorable.

I've had crazy dreams: baby's limbs coming out, crazy sex dreams about my husband, lesbian dreams, killer dreams ... I just chalk it up to being pregnant, and hope they go away when baby gets here.

Yikes! Those dreams sound terrifying! I have had vivid dreams with both pregnancies - in fact, it was my first indicator that I might be pregnant both times! Fortunately though, they haven't been terrifying dreams, just odd and vivid! Like others have said, I'm dreaming about people I used to know and the dreams are nearly always so realistic, I usually wake up and actually have to take a moment to figure out if if I was dreaming or if that really happened.
I'm sorry though, I hope the terrifying aspect goes away. I wouldn't be able to sleep if I was having nightmares about something happening to my toddler!

YES! Knock on wood mine haven't been scary as much as they've been super, duper bizarre. But so vivid and I remember them clear as day.

@luckypenny: Hoping for sound nights' sleeps for both of us tonight!

@luckypenny: @lovehoneybee: Agreed. Sooo awkward to see that random person the next time, though. LOL.
If it's not a sex dream, it's a super odd one. For example, the other night in my dreams my adult siblings convinced my mom to have another kid. So she did, the next day, and then just gave it to me and ran away, telling me I was already having one so I could just take care of this one. It was like 3 hours old now, and I couldn't breast feed it since I still had 5 months of pregnancy left, so my friends threw and emergency shower and just showed up at what was apparently my house with formula and beer and pizza. It was a ginger baby, so I was a little scared of it, but I loved it, so I kept it rather than giving it to my ginger friend. I was so very confused in the morning.
