I am freezing right now. I have my pjs on with a blanket over me. The house is still 68 degrees from the beautiful weather today (we keep the heat at 66). Was anyone freezing during the first trimester? I've read it can be a sign of low thyroid functioning. I do run hot while sleeping at times.

I was! Constantly, and only until recently. II dont know about the thyroid thing, though. I hope you can get warm soon!

I thought that the whole "pregnancy keeps you warm" was a total crock... Then I hit the third trimester, just in time for my rise in body heat to coincide with a New Zealand summer lol

I did with DS but not with either S or LO. It was really weird because I normally don't get cold easily.

Yes!!! During the day. Then falling asleep I'm too hot, but at any mint wakings an freezing again...

I only remember being hot, but my first tri was in warm weather. It was the only time DH and I agreed on how to set the temp in our place.

I'm so glad you posted this - I have been freezing lately and I have been really worried that it means something is wrong. I was getting randomly hot on Thursday and Friday at work, but I think that's because the heat is still running and it was 50 outside. I am also worried about low thyroid function because when I was charting, my BBT seemed really low. Are you thinking about getting yours checked?

Yes I was, but found out my iron was extremely low. Once I got in iron supplement it got better.

I had hot flashes & chills like a fever my first trimester! So I was cold half the time & hot the other half. Then in my third trimester I was just hot all the time!

I had this happen. I have an under active thyroid and my pregnancies have definitely made it worse.

I had it with my first pregnancy, but not with the next one.

Oooh, me too! But I tend to run cold in general. I hadn't heard of it being a sign of low thyroid, but I just had my thyroid levels checked last summer, and they were fine, so unless they've tanked in the past few months, I think this might just be my body being its same weird old self.

Me! I was freezing!!! I never got super hot, even at the end during summer.

I was so cold with both up until the third tri, which coincided with summer. So cold, and I normally run hot, my husband was so happy

@Ms.Mermaid: I'll probably ask the doctor to add it to the list of blood work I'll need to do. I have an appointment in 2 weeks so I'll let it be till then.

Yes! I'm freezing (but I'll be burning up in my third tri this summer)! I do have hypothyroidism and should go get my levels checked, but I went through this during my last pregnancy and everything was fine. Cooking a baby sucks all your heat out! Lol.

Me too! I normally run a little hot but I frequently can't get warm now. I still run a bit warn while I am sleeping at night but that might have more to do with the fact that as I get ready for bed I am freezing so I pile on extra blankets and convince my dog to sleep right next to me.

I was FREEZING my whole first trimester. Even though I got pregnant in March when the weather starts to warm up!
