What is the correct thing to do here?

Our shower was coed, so it was. But if it's not coed I don't think you need it. It's your shower!

I've thrown a couple (non-coed) baby showers this year and what I typically do is something like "Help us shower Future-Mom's-Name blah blah blah details" and then later say "Future-Mom's-Name and Future-Dad's-Name are registered at..." I like having both names on the invite somewhere.

I dont want to like "leave him out" you kow? He will make his obligatory appearance but beyond that wont be participating......ugh I hate making decisions!!!

Ours was a girls only shower, so only my name was on the invite. My husband begged not to be involved- so we sent him and the guys out to brunch while we had our own during the shower.

we're having a coed shower and my SIL didn't mention my hubby's name.

His wasn't on there, ladies only.

co-ed shower (BBQ and beer) so yes, his name was mentioned. For the showers I attend that's just for girls, they tend not to mention the dad's name.

His name isn't on the invite, but he'll be there to help open presents.

Mine won't be a co-ed shower and DH's name won't be on the invitation. That's pretty standard in my family and friend circles. If he can, DH will show up at the end of the shower to say hello, help clean up and pack up gifts.
