How do you all handle weight gain during pregnancy?
I'm up to a 30lb gain and just hitting 6 months in. I was doing great leading up to getting pregnant; I worked out 5 to 6 times a week at the gym, diet was pretty decent. I was in the best shape of my life and one of the lowest weight of my life (150lb at 5'6").
But once the first trimester hit I fell back in to old patterns. Emotional and boredom eating. I was eating anything sugary and carb loaded that didn't make me sick, and I was too exhausted and sick to go to the gym for the first couple months.
Today my midwife said 25-35lb gain was the most they wanted to see. Now granted I brought up the subject, and she was super nice and not judgey at all about it, but now I'm all disappointed in myself. I gained 10 lbs in 1 month, and this was not what I had planned at all, but now I'm afraid I don't have the willpower to fix this.
So how do you deal? I could use some encouragement.
