If you found out the sex, were you able to tell for (almost) certain at the anatomy scan? Wondering how common it is for babies to force team green by squirming too much or crossing their legs.
Also anything that helps ensure you can tell - drinking juice / avoiding sugar or whatever?

Yup! We had 2 technicians in the room and they both agreed girl at 20 weeks! Had a follow up at 22 weeks due to stubborn baby not letting us get all the pictures we needed, and still girl. Growth scan at 34 weeks still showed girl!

We had done elective scans for both pregnancies but did not tell the ultrasound techs for our anatomy scans. Both times they were certain of the sexes (and were right with DS, DD is still baking so no official confirmation but it was the same we were told at the elective). I didn't drink or eat anything special, both babies were plenty active enough with my normal diet.

they weren't 100% at 16 weeks (if she was a boy, they probably would've been sure). at 20 weeks, there was no doubt! I didn't do anything special, but she was constantly moving so it wasn't an issue for us.

Very sure by the 20 wk anatomy scan for both genders.
They asked me to have a full bladder and drink some juice before the appt but not sure if that made a big difference? All it did for me was make me uncomfortable!

Yep! Our tech made a guess at 12 weeks, and she was right! Confirmed right around 20 weeks. LO is a girl.

First time very sure at 20 weeks. Second we had done genetic testing so we already knew, but they clearly confirmed at the anatomy scan at 18 weeks.

We found out LO was a boy at my 12'week scan and it was confirmed at 17 weeks and 20 weeks.

At 16 weeks, the tech said she can't be 100% sure but DH said there were other techs (earlier) that said we had, at least, one boy in there. At 20 weeks, the tech confirmed it.

Sounds like they usually do cooperate I guess! Funny last time I was so paranoid about finding out by accident.

@Foodnerd81: One of the reasons I found out was that I could tell very clearly on the ultrasound and I didn't want to look away for a second while they were going over everything during the anatomy scan. It was very clear he was a boy.

with DD1, they were sure at 15w elective U/S, confirmed at 20w anatomy scan. with DD2, OB was 95% at 15w U/S, confirmed again at 20w U/S and hoping for the same at the official 24w anatomy scan!

I have had two scans for anatomy stuff. With my first at 20 weeks 1 day my baby was sleeping and wouldn't move at all so they couldn't see because the legs were tightly crunched up with the bum up. At the second I made sure I ate close to my appointment and drank juice. Legs were crossed at the second one which was at 23 weeks 5 days. We had decided we didn't want to know halfway through our first anatomy scan anyway so I told the lady not to bother, but even if we had wanted to know I am not sure she would have been able to see.

Both of my daughters put up a fight. My first the tech was about 75% sure (we did an elective one a few weeks later to be sure, and she was right). With my second, two techs tried and couldn't tell. Surprisingly the OB present in the office was able to get her to move (but even then he said 90%). Guess I had little trouble makers
