My Dr thought it was unnecessary to test for immunities in regards to MMR, CMV, chickenpox, etc.... did you have immunities testing done with your pregnancy(ies)? Was it standard or due to history or due to work status (working with kids, etc)?

No immunity testing for pregnancy.
The only reason I've had immunity testing is because I work in direct patient care.

I put all, but have only been pregnant once. My doctor just did the tests automatically, I didn't even realize they were optional. I have no special risk factors that I'm aware of.

The only immunity I have been tested for is Fifths Disease because a student at the school I work at had it a few weeks ago and my doctor wanted to see if I currently had the virus or had an immunity to it. Other than that, no immunity testing has been ordered for either pregnancy.

I had an appointment about a year before getting pregnant. My doctor checked immunities (not sure which ones) and genetic screening then. It wasn't done in during either of my pregnancies.

I used to work in a laboratory. In our hospital, it was standard to test for immunities to rubella and hepatitis B, but not CMV or others that have been mentioned.

I've gone through OB care for 4 pregnancies and I think I was tested for chickenpox immunity twice (the last two) and for Fifth's disease once (only because a child in DD's daycare had it). Of course, it turned out that I wasn't immune to anything.

It's standard at the two OBs I had. But I also asked to be tested for measles because there was an outbreak near me during my first pregnancy, and my husband taught at a school that didn't require immunization. And I learned that during this pregnancy I'm not immune to chicken pox, which is good to know.
