I don't know if the sex of the baby contributed but I felt so much better carrying DS (especially during the first tri) than I did with both DDs. With the girls, I was so sick until 30 weeks. I always felt like I was going I was going to pass out. I had a lot of energy during the first tri with my son. I'm pretty much feeling good right now (although I'm only 6 weeks along) so I'm wondering if this one is a boy too!

Felt almost exactly the same (24-7 nausea, have to eat constantly, throwing up) for both pregnancies except the 2nd pregnancy lasted longer (28 weeks versus 20 weeks). Both were boys.

I felt much sicker with #2 (currently 30 weeks$
). It only lasted the first tri but I had all-day, constant nausea and got physically sick a lot more than with #1.

Yes, I had no sickness with my first and frequent nausea this time. I also had sore bbs this time but not last. So weird! Beyond the first tri, I had spd/sciatica the first time, no issues this time....

1- Hypermesis throughout the first 20 weeks. So much vomit. Often light headed, mild spotting at least once. It was a girl!
2. Constant nausea but not nearly as bad as #1. More tired this pregnancy, but could have been because I was chasing a toddler. It was a boy!
3. Currently 9 weeks pregnant with so much vomit... again. Often light headed, two instances of spotting and a confirmed small sch. My bets are for a girl.

1. Lots of nausea and exhaustion. No vomiting.
2. More nausea, same exhaustion, no vomiting. Sore boobs.
3. No nausea, some exhaustion but not that bad. No vomiting. No clear symptoms at all really. Easiest pregnancy by far.

All girls.

#1 - Constant nausea, food aversions and rock hard sore boobs.

#2 - Irregular nausea, can eat anything, headaches, sore nipples only when touched. So so so exhausted!

HG doesn't discriminate, it just gets worse with each pregnancy. I was so ill with my first, and somehow even more ill with my second. So much vomiting, so nauseated, so dehydrated, a constant struggle not to lose weight. My body would not be able to handle a 3rd pregnancy, nor would my spirit.

So different! With my first, a boy, I was hungry all the time, ate anything except veggies, was glowing nicely, and my hair looked great. I was really really tired though.

With the next baby, I could barely eat (mostly bread, water and cake for the first trimester), looked like death warmed over, and my hair was falling out. But I was only a little bit tired. I was convinced things were not going well, but it turned out it's just that she's a girl! All those old wives' tales worked for me

@erinpye: I don't think mine was quite bad enough to qualify as HG, but it got worse with my second pregnancy and I certainly couldnt handle a third either. Man, I'm amazed at those with true HG having 2!!

DS- nausea, food adversions, sore breasts, always tired, craving comfort food, intolerance of veggies

Current pregnancy- nausea, especially at night, sore breasts, spicy food cravings, constant hunger, craving raw veggies and dip, always tired.

For both pregnancies my hair and skin look great.

Symptoms are the same but since I'm currently in my second pregnancy I feel it is worse this time. Unless I blocked it out of my memory. Both boys.

No nausea. Migraines throughout second trimester. Out of control gag reflex, especially in third trimester so lots of vomiting from brushing my teeth or coughing.

And both pregnancies I got a bad cold/cough and coughed so much I pulled a muscle on my side and it hurts like hell. This time it happened at 32 weeks so is lasting longer than when it happened at 38 weeks first time.

I was less in shape and weighed more to start this pregnancy so I feel I'm overall more uncomfortable this time. At 33 weeks i've already surpassed my 40 week weight from first time.

So while I'm complaining at 33 weeks now, I had it pretty easy until I got sick in my third tri both times, minus the migraines.
