My mom's best friend is the mom of a girl that I met in kindergarten. We were really close from age 5-17 but we stopped being friends in high school...I don't even remember why!
They have never let our old teenage drama get in the way of their friendship!

Yes, but non in the sense my friend's parents became their bffs or anything. My parents were always participated at school and new other parents. They would chat before, after and during school events, birthday parties, and playdates.

Somewhat. My mom has 11 brothers and sisters, so used to hang out with my aunts, uncles and cousins a lot. She did get to be best friends with our neighbor after I kept going over there to play with her son - though they no longer speak. Kind of sad, really.
