My BIL/SIL came over in person to tell us aboit both of their pregnancies. Friends told us in person, phone, word of mouth, FB, text, etc! I told in law family in person and my family by phone.

I told family in person or over the phone. Friends who have gotten pregnant have told me in person or over the phone too! For acquaintances, I just find out via Facebook announcements.

Family is in person or by phone. For parents usually in person but siblings by phone and extended family word of mouth (which backfired last time because somehow someone never found out and was kind of upset). Friends in person or text/email/phone. I prefer not to do a FB announcement. I don't need the whole world to know!

Immediate family was phone or FaceTime (not local). Extended family was word of mouth (my parents told people mostly). Friends usually are told in person if you see them or via text or email before a Facebook announcement.

Text or phone call to immediate family/ close friends. FB announcement to everyone else.
