My mom is the hardest for me to buy for, so I need ideas! Her house is overflowing so I hate giving her any kind of decor or housewares, she pretty much wears a daily uniform so clothes are out, and she’s not much into jewelry or bath stuff. Tell me what you’re buying for your mom!

I rarely know what to get, so this year she's getting an Instant Pot even though it's a little more than our usual gift budget. I figure it's worth the extra cost given a few past well-intentioned but not very exciting gifts over the years. Since you said no housewares, maybe a gift certificate for an experience she might enjoy (favorite restaurant, spa, movies, wine tasting, etc.)?

We actually do lists in our family! It makes things so much easier. Would she be opposed to that? We give several options so we don’t know what we’ll actually end up with but it gives each other guidance.
My mom usually asks for home stuff. A new stick vac, a hand/stick blender, sheets, a printer, etc. -
I usually do practical stuff. My mom needs new sneakers, and is retired, so I'll likely get her a new pair. We get her a photo calendar of the kiddos each year, and I'll get her a nice purse every once in a while.

A subscription to her favourite calligraphy magazine (more like art books). It was her request!

Probably a pretty journal since I know she journals with her Bible, and you run out of space eventually!

My mom and LO bake together a lot (my mom is known as "Grandma Cookie" lol) and so I'm getting her a personalized apron that says "Big Chef: Grandma Cookie" and "Little Chef: LO's name", and then it has a picture of the two of them baking together on it.
I also make vanilla extract every year and will give her a bottle and also a small spice set from Penzy's spices.

My MIL sounds similar and we usually give her consumables (wine, chocolate, locally made hand soap) and photos of the kids.

We're getting my mom (another) Amazon echo. We got her one last year that is in the living room and she loves it. This one will be for her office. Also a small photo calendar (the desktop easel one from shutterfly).

I got my brother one last year, and was going to a Christmas market the vendor was at. Mom asked me to buy a few for her church friends, so I figured she must really like them and got her one too.

I make my mom a photo book with pictures of my family, my sisters families and of course her. She loves it. I also print a second copy for my grandma (her mom)...she loves it also.
I'm also getting my mom a Houston Llew spirit tile - google them. She has a few and loves them!

I have actually found tons of cool gifts on this site, so I def recommend it if you're kind of at a loss for what to get a parent, in-laws, etc.

A completed journal about her... if I don't have time to finish, it will be a mother's day present. Got the dad one too. Also Shutterfly calendars and probably gift cards for a dinner/movie date.

My mom requested a new kindle fire so we're getting that. An air fryer was also on her list.
