A bunch of the names listed so far are on my list. My girls name list is also much longer than my boys name list.
@magnolia: Love your names! My grandma was Nina Mae (great grandma was Nina Belle) and her sister was Winona. Pronounced Nina with an "I" rather than an "ee" sound. I love the name and would love to use it to honor her, but unfortunately she didn't like it and always went by a nickname (I think she just didn't like having the same name as her mom, she would definitely roll over in her grave if I used it - boo!

@mfa_lady: glad I'm not the only one that has trouble agreeing with DH Maybe this thread will help some of us TGers figure things out! If I had my way it would be either Ruby or Gregory. That's just how I feel today though. I am always changing my mind!

@Alba4: it's nice to finally settle on a name! With DD we had a few names picked out when we went to the hospital but she never really got named until the day after she was born. It was so hard to agree!

Reply to follow this thead, getting girl and boy baby names ideas from other ladies. Alot of pretty baby names here.
If we have a daughter, I do have a girl name that I want to name.
My husband he from Sierra Leone, West Africa. If we have a girl, I want to name her 'Sierra'. That's the English name I want for my daughter.
Personally, I prefer a Chinese name because I'm Chinese, but I think my husband prefer an English name.
'Sierra' it not a common name though.
I don't have a name for a boy. If we have a boy, I let my husband chose the name.

We're TG and are going for a classic Italian or Old World name that would be mostly pronounced the same in Italian and English. (Half the family lives there, half lives here.) Sounds like it should narrow down the field but we're going in big circles with DH rejecting all of mine without offering too many in return. The names I love are too common for him (Leonardo) and sometimes vice versa (Sofia). However, recently I asked him to get his family's input (SO against common wisdom but in this case helpful) and they spontaneously offered many of my favorites... And now he likes a lot of the ones he rejected!!!

@simplyfelicity: Oh, we're pretty old school, so no flashy names for us - I just never thought we'd have another girl, so we already had our other favourite stored up ready to use. It feels crazy to have it done so early, but .... we followed our gut with Georgia and she is SUCH a Georgia, haha.
