I've started collecting Christmas books for A at our local consignment shop, they have some really nice ones but they have SO many. I only got her a handful of them this time, but will collect a few more in the coming weeks. I was hoping to find a Thanksgiving themed book but had no luck with that one so I may need to just order one.
What are your favorite seasonal/holiday books for LO's?

I have just started an Amazon wishlist of seasonal books I'd like to get for DD. One that stood out was, "A Wish to be a Christmas Tree" - a story of a tree that keeps getting overlooked every season, until his friends in the forest fulfill his wish. Basically, I'll probably crumble in a puddle of tears, but it has rave reviews.

I always loved the Jolly Christmas Postman as a little kid. The original Jolly Postman is also good. The Little Match Girl is also a sad, but sweet holiday story.

We just got hallmark ones from the library that I really love. Snowman band was the title of one. The illustrations are really nice.

We love the Leslie Patricelli series. Just got Fa La La La la for Tor. We also found a great touch and feel board book simply called Fall.

@Bao: you should try half.com! Some of the books on there can be as cheap as 75 cents or so which is nice when you are paying to ship them too.

@MrsMccarthy: the seasonal ones I got yesterday were only .50 for pretty much brand new board books. I will check half.com for any that I really want but can't find at the consignment store. I've bought DVDs from there before and they were a great deal!

We have this beautiful Night Before Christmas pop-up paper cutting book, and my kids love it. I just have to really make sure they are careful with it because it's very delicate. But a really nice keepsake as well.

Off the top of my head, we have a Charlie Brown Christmas, The Night Before Christmas and The Snowy Day. I LOVED The Snowy Day as a child, love Ezra Jack Keats!
