Under eye concealer for sure but my best trick is a tiny bit of shimmery gold eyeshadow in the very inner corner of my eyes. Major wake up!!
Will def be doing it today...

Light foundation first, THEN concealer. And the concealer has to be applied correctly:

my whole makeup routine is undereye concealer, foundation, eyebrow pencil, blush and lipstick (and sometimes eyeliner). i think an abbreviated version would be concealer, eyebrow pencil and lipstick.

@pwnstar: i just read about this the other day. i feel like i've been out of the loop!

@edelweiss: There are a few other spots I like to highlight (with concealer), but for every day, this is a life saver for tired days. It will literally light up your face!

@pwnstar: I had no idea that was the right way to apply concealer! I don't even own concealer. I wear glasses every day, though, too....

@pwnstar: well I've been doing it all wrong...looks like I have some concealer experimenting to do

Is it bad I barely know the difference between concealer and foundation.
My issue is my hair. When I'm late and tired that is the last thing I worry about. So 9/10 its a mess.

I use a photo finish eye lid primer as a concealer. It works well to brighten my entire eye area before applying foundation and eye shadow.
Oh and anot eyelash curler!

@pwnstar: huh, mind blown! Thanks for the tip, will try it!
I also apply concealer to my eyelids, I have really dark lids that look like I am wearing shadow, but if I put concealer on them, it brightens them.

@blackbird: @MrsSCB: @looch: @autumnlove: @SweetiePie: This, by far, has been my favorite makeup trick since mastering very slightly winged eye liner (if you see me without eyeliner, either (a) the house was on fire or (b) I was super hella rushed!). It's a little scary at first, but once you blend it in and see the difference, ah-may-zing!

@pwnstar: @edelweiss: I just learned this via IG and it makes total sense, def trying it out this weekend.

@pwnstar: I've been doing this trick for years! It makes a world of difference.
Also, I'm careful not to go too heavy with the rest of my makeup, especially foundation. Mascara and the Clinique tube eyeshadow in the beige are a must. They both help open up and brighten the eye. To balance everything, a light pink blush on the cheeks, just enough to look "healthy" and lip gloss or Chapstick.

@pwnstar: I tried it and I think it makes a difference! I'm still not sleeping great so I can use any help I can get. Winged eyeliner -- I can do the right eye perfectly, but the left always ends up slightly wonkier... haha

Blush, blush, blush! If I could only have one item of makeup this would be it!
My all-time favorite "I'm-not-dead" blush is currently $8 for Stilla. (Yay for me looking this up bc now I'll buy enough for the year!).
It's a custom color that is slightly different on everyone. Every girlfriend I put it on has looked awesome. It comes really bright pink, but just a very small amount makes you look perfectly flushed. You def have to tap the excess amount off the brush or you will put too much on!

@pwnstar: What concealer do you use?
Oh yeah I agree about eyeliner. Once you start doing eyeliner and you can't go back. I feel like I look sickly when I don't have eyeliner on!

@LibbyLou: You just sold me! I ordered it. For $8 what do I have to lose?!

Smashbox high-definition concealer and Bare Minerals "Well Rested" for eyes dusted all around my eyes with a fluffy eyeshadow brush.
Occasionally, white eyeliner in my waterline.

1. Exfoliate and then super hydrating moisturizer. Anytime I'm exhausted my skin is a haggard sack of leather and all makeup looks tore up on my face.
2. While skin is still dewy, apply light foundation and concealer if your eyes need it.
3. Brows, eyeliner, mascara, highlighting shadow at the brow bone under your arch.
4. A nice blush.
5. Chapstick or gloss if you have the energy.
6. If you have some dry shampoo to fluff up the hair, go for it, but if not, rock the intentional messy bun.

@MrsSCB: Yay! I also have a wonk-ier side for eyeliner . . . my fix is to take an angled brush with a tiny bit of foundation on it, and smooth out the wing on the wonkier side. It saves me from having to re-do it (and looks better than if I wiped that corner off and tried again).
@LibbyLou: Thanks for the rec! I just ordered this blush (and the self-adjusting bronzer) . . . for $8 and a real person rec, how can you go wrong?! Thanks!
@travellingbee: My favorite drug store concealer is L'Oreal Lumi concealer. It goes on creamy and blends easily.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: I got your concealer after it was recommended on another thread. LOVE! It's creamy but not thick, covers but doesn't cake...doesn't settle into my lines. It's a dream!
honeydew / 7463 posts
@pwnstar: aw shoot, I didn't see the bronzer and I already placed my order. Womp womp.
watermelon / 14467 posts
@LibbyLou: I just bought that and some eye shadow. It's been a rough week. I'm treating myself.
wonderful pear / 26210 posts
@Rainbow Sprinkles: How do you apply the concealer? I am stopping at Sephora on my way home today....
grapefruit / 4717 posts
@LibbyLou: That blush looks amazing!
Are you all paying crazy amounts for shipping? I'm having trouble justifying almost $6 to ship something selling for $8. Just me?
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@pwnstar: I never knew this trick....
When I'm extra tired I wear my glasses to hide the bags : ) They're stylish, so it's fine ; )

For me, it's blush and curling my eyelashes. I use concealer every day anyway but those two things make me look way more put together than foundation and concealer alone.
kiwi / 739 posts
@pregnantbee: I bought two and it was $21. With tax at Sephora it would be the same/more for just one compact. I justified it that way

Moisturizer is key. I like to use 100% Hyaluronic Acid (sounds scary but feels gentle like water) on my face after washing at night. You can buy it on amazon.
Concealer is a must after having a baby. Most have a pink or yellow undertone, get the one that best counteracts what ailment you have (pink for lighter skin people with purple corrections and yellow for darker skin people with blue corrections). Go for a shade slightly lighter than your skin tone as well so it highlights. Also, apply the tiniest amount with your ring finger (this provides the most gentle touch) in a dabbing motion.
Lastly, it is pricey... but eyelash extensions were the greatest thing after having a baby. They can last around 3-4 weeks and make you look awake and refreshed without any effort at all.
Hope that was helpful!

@looch: I actually just dab it on with my fingers. It's the only makeup I apply with my fingers. I feel that I can better control the heaviness/lightness of it. It's in a tiny squeeze tube.
