i think tea collection is! (no offense to tea lovers!) way to over priced and if you look hard enough you can find similar stuff for a fraction of the price! I really don't care for their boy stuff at all, and their girl stuff ive seen similar stuff in other stores for way cheaper and just as cute!!

I agree about Tea collection. It's just not well made enough or unique enough to justify the pricetag. I mean, it's nice...but not "covet it" nice!

I think Tea collection clothes are SO soft though! We don't own any but I can always tell when I'm running my hands along the consignment racks what is Tea.
I think Juicy Couture baby stuff and Ralph Lauren baby stuff is plain and unremarkable aside from the designer logo.

I agree with Tea Collection. Cute, but could be found elsewhere, at a lower price. I personally like Gymboree for my infant girl, and feel that their clothing holds up well. However, it's a little overpriced, so I just accept what my mom gifts, weekly.
I find Janie and Jack adorable, but absolutely ridiculous as far as price goes. Even if I were a wealthy woman, I couldn't rationalize spending that kind of money on baby clothes.
Mostly, I just shop Carters, Old navy, consignment, and Babygap sale.

I loved Tea for LO when she was an infant but I'm not a huge fan of their toddler clothing. Also, in my opinion, Zutano in general is nothing special. I don't really love Pumpkin Patch either.

I love the look of tea collection, but have been unimpressed with the quality. The items I have from them seem to fade in the wash quickly. I was surprised by this. I still have to restrain myself because I think it's all so pretty! I buy it used- the new stuff I bought looks the same as "used" pretty quickly.
Polarn o pyret is worth it, although I'm broke so I only buy it on sale. Great quality.

@betsyboop: I think zutano basics- like their striped pants, overalls, etc. are really great and hold up well. I buy them used all the time and think they still look great. I'm less impressed by their fleece stuff.

My issue is that I feel like all the babies at playgroups are always wearing the same baby gap or Carter's stuff. I like LO to be dressed a little more uniquely. So I do buy more expensive pieces, and pair them with basics. But if I'm being honest, baby gap, Carter's, and Oshkosh are best quality for price.

@grizz: Definitely! My aunt bought M an outfit with some accessories from Janie and Jack for her birthday. I had to go exchange it for a larger size and it was almost $100!! I really wanted to just return it and buy a whole wardrobe on sale at Carters but I felt bad. Crazy...

I buy everything used but about 5 pieces a season, so I will spend more on those 5 special pieces. I think all baby clothes are overpriced. They wear them just a few times and ruin too much stuff as well

Not a fan of Gymboree... too bright & cutesy for my taste. I think Janie & Jack is way over priced. I saw a $500 Burberry coat in 3T... seriously?!

I've only bought a few Gap items. We got a lot handed down from SIL and neighbor. I really don't buy brand stuff because the price seems crazy for toddler. LO mainly wears Carter's and Gap.

C is pretty much in old navy and whatever I or his grandmas buy at target/kohls from head to toe (and the occasional clearance rack baby gap item). I think baby style is majorly overrated - he doesn't care at all what he is wearing and none of our day to day stuff requires anything fancy enough to justify expenses of nicer kid clothes.

Tea, Gymboree, J&J, designer clothes in little people sizes... And if BabyGap wasn't good quality I would say that. I don't love many of their designs.

Not a fan of Gymboree and most Carters. Pretty much everything I buy is Old Navy or Baby Gap (on sale) or sometimes Target.

Gymboree - for sure! I don't like their style at all.
Janie and Jack is SUPER cute! But agree that they are way overpriced for kids clothes. There were a few times I entertained the thought of buying something when it was on clearance but never did.
I also don't think Carters is cute for boys past the 9 month age. But they are cheap so I check them out every now and then. -

TeaIt's basically ALL overpriced. I especially don't like Gymboree, IMO it does not hold up well on the wash, except for Gymmies I love those!
I buy all the above brands second hand, except Gymboree.
I found a woman on Ebay who says she takes her daughter into J&J twice a year and buys 1 of everything for her daughter, which amounts to apx $3000!! Can you imagine? I don't think I could spend $6000 a year in one store for one kid even if I was a millionaire I just couldn't! I checked her current and ended listed and sure enough. Missed the auction by a day..

@Bao: I don't buy Gap. I bought a couple of things from there when LO was a newborn and didn't think the price was worth it. I just can't justify the cost for clothes that she's going to grow out of. I hadn't heard of Tea Collection before HB.
I stick to Carter's, H&M, Children's Place, Old Navy, and whatever I can get on deal from Amazon Prime. My mom has bought LO some Gymboree stuff.

I really don't like anything at Gymboree! I think we have one pair of jammies that are cute but only because they are pretty plain. We don't really have many things that are from any pricey places except for things I've bought used.
I like Carters for the price but they just don't have the greatest selection for boys. Most of LO's clothes are Old Navy and Gap (always bought on sale or used).

All the brands mentioned here have great sales! You don't have to buy it full price. It's cheaper to buy sales items at BabyGap or Gymboree than buying full priced items at Walmart or Target. I like to buy Juicy Couture and Tea Collection from Nordstrom Rack if the price is right for my budget. Love love BabyGap.

I, personally, love cutesy stuff and Gymboree. Lol. Their clothing is really good quality and I buy most of it used for really good prices.

@shopaholic: I think Tea is sooo cute for girls! I'm really disappointed that the kimono style shirts and leaves/swirls/etc. prints don't cross over to the boys clothes. I'd totally buy it for DS.
DS lives in BabyGap @Kimberlybee: I just bought three shirts, a pair of pants and a double pack of socks for $11! Great sales!

@Mrs. Confetti: I agree on mini style being overrated. I try to dress LO in cute clothes that fit the style I prefer, but I won't sacrifice cost.
In the 10 months since DS was born, I think I have paid full price for 2-3 things. We wait for everything to go on big clearance sales at Kohl's, Target, Carter's, Old Navy, BRU, or even Walmart, or buy consignment. I wait for things to cost $2-3 per item. It's what is in our budget right now, and anything more pricey is a gift or hand me down. We actually still end up with lots of cute, durable, clothes.

I buy from everywhere as long as the stuff is on sale. Janie and Jack has these long sleeved reversible tees that are superb, because my son will only tolerate one shirt and he doesn't like button downs. They're super soft and when they're on sale, I stock up!
I find Old Navy to be very disappointing. I buy fleece or jersey lined cargos for my son every year and the ones from Old Navy are just off in color and cheap looking (shiny) compared to the ones I get from Gymboree.

Here in Sweden, it's definitely Polarn o. Pyret. They have excellent outerwear that's worth the money (on sale), but the regular clothes are way overpriced and most aren't even cute. I think Baby Gap clothes are just as durable and a ton cuter (with better selection) than Po.P. Aside from that, the sizes are ginormous! Overalls from there are bigger than a size up in H&M overalls and H&M run big. Have I mentioned that last season they essentially only had 2 colors in rain gear? Red and navy striped -_-
DD has a few pieces that were gifted. But their outerwear is the only thing I'd personally buy and recommend.
