@babycanuck: Tylenol I get pretty bad migraines and even still the doctor still limits me to Tylenol. I will be so happy to be able to have other stuff after my LO arrives!

You can take regular Tylenol. I found little relief from that, plus I was getting them pretty often and wasn't comfortable taking it as often as the headaches were happening. My greatest relief came from putting a ice pack on my head or neck where the pain was. Keeping super hydrated helped keep them away.

@mrswin: @JennyG: I totally didn't think I could take anything like aspirin or tylenol, good to know.

Regular strength Tylenol. I have been taking one pill at least once a week since my BFP. I tend to get headaches at night and then I can't sleep!

@babycanuck: Tylenol yes but not Advil. I know you are in ON, if you go over to Shoppers ask the pharmacist for the Motherisk medications guide (it is the size of a business card) it tells you what medications are safe for pregnancy

You can take Tylenol as everyone else said, but what kind of headache is it? Depending on what type of headache it is, having some caffeine, a hot shower, or a quick massage may help some too!

I got some headache relief aromatherapy stuff that you rub in to your face/sinus/temples etc. I usually did that, ice and a little caffeine as needed. And tylenol if it was really bad.

@yoursilverlining: honestly I'm not sure. It could be the weather being all wonky....I had some chocolate earlier, banana muffin, two glasses of water. My biggest adjustment being pregnant is I'm used to NOT eating when I'm not feeling well, and now I feel like I have to eat to feel better.

I've had the most awful headaches this time around even with Tylenol and an old thread with the ice pack on the neck advice has been my LIFESAVER! I do it like 2-3x a day now.

I've been getting frequent headaches too, but they've been mostly tension headaches due to sleeping like crap. Tylenol and a little caffeine help take the edge off, but the only thing that has really helped is a serious shoulder/neck massage. Hope you feel better!

If you're okay with caffeine, it's the only thing that helps mine. And they're not caffeine headaches. I think it's because it's a vasodilator? But I could be remembering that wrong. For sinus headaches a hot shower can help some, but I have to be careful about not getting too hot. I don't even bother with Tylenol; it does nothing for me. My midwife did say yesterday that I should be getting out of the worst of the headaches soon, but not sure how far along you are. I'm 18 weeks.
