We don't have a microwave! When designing our kitchen we really did not want a microwave sitting on our counters and didn't want to waste cabinet space either. It's been over 2 years and we don't miss it.
We also don't have a toaster oven.
What small household kitchen appliance do you not have? Do you wish that you did?

I don't have a blender or a stand mixer. I would love to own a stand mixer, but the good ones are literally 3 times more expensive here than in the US.

We don't have a toaster oven and I don't miss it. I have a rice cooker/steamer but I only use it as a steamer for vegetables.

We didn't have a microwave for the longest time until we remodeled our kitchen in our old house, then that one broke just outside the warranty period so we didn't replace it or miss it. For whatever reason we bought a countertop one when we moved and I hate it. I dont really know why we have it. So I don't think it's strange you don't have a microwave!

We have all of the above! The only thing I don't use pretty regularly is the blender, but then there are some things I do use it for that a food processor won't cut it. Well and the stand mixer too but I've had that since I was 12 and again when I need to use it it's pretty indispensable!
We also have an immersion blender that has a mini-food processor attachment - use that too.
We don't have a hand mixer!
You could add crockpot and waffle maker to list (have both :silly:)
ETA: Oops, missed Toaster Oven. We don't have one and that I can't justify having a toaster and an oven and extremely limited counterspace

@winniebee: My husband came with a rice cooker and I thought it was not super necessary (never had trouble cooking rice on stove) but now especially with LO it is so awesome to start the rice and not worry about it.

@regberadaisy: LOL! We do, but we use a French press. We both only drink one cup in the mornings, so it works perfectly for us. For convenience sale, I wouldn't mind a coffee maker but we have no more counter space!

@regberadaisy: How do you live without a microwave!!? I didn't have one briefly when I was living in an apt with a roommate and it was the hugest PITA to heat stuff up on the stove or in the oven. But I guess if you don't eat a lot of leftovers?

We don't have a Kitchen Aid mixer! We have too much stuff cluttering our counters already and it'd be a shame to put something so pretty in the closet. I don't bake though, and I've never cooked something where I felt like I was missing out with no stand mixer.
I don't know how people exist without rice cookers! I can't make rice in a pot on the stove to save my life!

I voted no toaster oven and no coffee maker. We have an electric kettle, mostly because my husband is English and man, do the English love their electric kettles. But it allows us to make coffee using our Chemex pretty quickly and easily.

@petitenoisette: haha we eat leftovers a lot!! Tuesday's and Thursday nights are almost always leftovers. And weekends we typically eat leftovers for lunch. We've just gotten used to it.
Most people think it's crazy. Our daycare teacher babysat for us a while back and she said she was searching for 10 minutes for a microwave or toaster oven. She asked our daughter and she just blank stared at her.

@twodoghouse: I got a kitchen aid mixer for free. It's nice but I use it like twice a year so it's in a cabinet. But it's like 300 pounds so it's a pain to get out when I want to use it.
I think my DH would die without a microwave. If left to his own defenses he only eats frozen convenience foods. And ones that are not microwavable he won't eat.

Our toaster oven doubles as a toaster. I also don't have a stand mixer; we don't really bake.

We got rid of our toaster oven.
We have a rice cooker, but I actually prefer making rice in a pot on the stove so I rarely use it.

I guess I'm a Luddite. No toaster, toaster oven, stand mixer (I do have a handheld mixer, but I usually use my whisk. Burning a few calories and using my arm muscles before eating my delicious hand-whipped cream seems like a reasonable thing to do! ), rice cooker, or coffee maker in my house. No slow cooker, either. The microwave was here when we bought the house, otherwise we probably wouldn't have one. However, it does get used to reheat coffee (made by boiling water, hand grinding beans, and in a French press) when one of us does not put it into the insulated carafe. My blender/food processor is a single machine, although I do own a separate immersion blender.
The only appliance I'm tempted by is an electric kettle, but I'm not sure it would ever be used. I don't even have a regular kettle any more--I boil my water in a saucepan for coffee and tea.

We don't have a toaster, only a toaster oven. I miss having a toaster. When our toaster oven craps out on us I fully intend to get a regular toaster. DH wanted the toaster oven when we moved in because that's what he grew up with but we never use it for anything that a regular toaster couldn't do!
I don't have a rice cooker. I make rice in the microwave on the "rice" setting. It comes out perfect every time!
I don't have a stand mixer. I would love one but I can't justify the price.

We have a rice cooker that we don't use.
No coffee maker either, but with a LO on the waY it's time I get one. All the grands that will visit drink coffee plus SB and DD daily will be a budget buster.

We don't have a regular toaster (we use a toaster oven) or a rice cooker (although I make rice on the stove a lot). We have a blender but I pretty much never use it. I use my immersion blender and food processor a lot!

We don't have a stand mixer, toaster (we use a toaster oven), rice cooker (I want!) or food processor! The microwave, toaster oven and coffee maker get a lot of use, but we rarely use the blender.

The only one we don't have is a food processor. And that's because our blender can do that too.
Eta: we use the microwave, coffee maker and toaster oven daily, the blender at least once a week and the rice cooker every couple of weeks. The stand mixer I rarely use. Only for big baking projects.

We have everything on the list except a pop up toaster (we use the toaster oven for toast) and we use every single item on the list weekly if not daily. The stand mixer is great not just for baking but we also use it for mashed potatoes and shredding meat

We don't have a toaster oven, a rice maker or an electric kettle. We have storage for our food processor and I have our stand mixer out on the counter because it goes with out kitchen. I bake often so I can't imagine not having one. The silliest appliance we do have is a quesadilla maker - although I love it and do use it! We also have a waffle iron because DH loves waffles but we probably use it 3 times a year.
