Most showers I attend just have vanilla cake and fruit.
I'd love it if chocolate covered pretzels and salted caramel cake pops were served. The fruit tarts sound divine too. Will yours have a cheesy creamy custard base?

Mine was at a french bakery, so we had french cake! 4 layer chocolate, with frosting layers of prailine pecan, mocha, vanilla, and chocolate. OMG so good

There was a cake. I had to track down the baker's FB page to find out what it was (Nutmeg-cardamom cake filled with fresh mixed berries dressed in mascarpone cheese icing). It was gigantic! There was also cake pops, peanut butter brownies (I made those), and cookies. for the guests to take home. Now that I look at pictures there was something else that I didn't eat/have no idea what it is.

I don't think I had cake at either party. Really good and fancy cookies at my friend shower. Not sure about my family shower, I am sure my grandma made pound cake. I know my family shower had chocolate covered pretzels has the favor. Which is all I cared about.

Well one was brunch so there was no dessert, just pastries. My other had strawberry shortcake and brownies with ice cream (my two favorites!)

It was a brunch, so there were some little tarts from the bakery we got all the pastries at, and then my mom also made a really beautiful layered fruit triffle.

It was ridiculous. There were three whole cakes - strawberry, vanilla with lemon curd, and chocolate with caramel. There were two kinds of cupcakes - chocolate marshmallow and vanilla. And macarons. And biscotti. And cookies.
I really love dessert so it was awesome, but the friend who organized the shower told me there was some miscommunication about who was bringing dessert

My MIL had cupcakes made in our wedding cake flavor. Poppyseed with lemon cream cheese frosting. It was such a thoughtful touch. She also go vegan and gf chocolate cupcakes.
