I posted yesterday about B suddenly refusing to nap in his crib. At first, I thought it could be because he hasn't been feeling well (cold and then stomach bug) but my DH brought up that it all started once he learned to crawl and pull himself up. On top of the nap issue, he has been waking up at 5 am each morning (way earlier than his normal 6:30-7:30). Luckily, no MOTN wakeups.
Could this be the 9 month regression?
If so, how long did it last? Did you have to nap train again? I've been letting B sleep on me because it's the only way he will nap. If I put him in his crib he immediately starts crying, sits up, and them pulls himself up. He then just stands there and screams because he doesn't know how to sit back down.
Should I just let him cry and risk not having a nap? Continue holding him during naps and risk it becoming a habit? The selfish part of me NEEDS him to nap because, with DH gone, it's the only break/alone time I get all day.
Why must these little creatures be so complicated?
