We didn't throw a party for her second party, either I think we just had grandparents over for some cake? Can't remember.

Do you have a children's museum nearby you could go to? That might be a fun indoor activity!

Maybe an aquarium or cool museum? A carousel ride?

We had a bbq for family and friends, but DS has a summer bday.

For DD1, we had a party at an indoor bouncy house place. DD2 is scared of them so I can't decide what to do for her

Although we've thrown parties the past two years, we also like to do something special, day of. We have a summer babe, so outdoor options are our go-to. However, there are still tons of fun things you can do, indoors.

Children's museum, planetarium, firehouse tour, dinosaur exhibit, roller rink, pedicure, bowling alley. Depends on her skills and interests, of course!

Streamers on her door when she woke up, a good dinner, nothing special really. Opening presents and having balloons around the house were the best.

DD - I catered brunch and invited some friends and family to our apt's clubhouse.
DS - party with friends and fam at our house.

We're having a party at a bounce house place, but I'm taking the day off work the Monday after and we will go to the children's museum and have lunch together for s girls day!

We did a birthday party at a park with cookies and milk-her actual birthday was on a Sunday last year. Not sure what we'll do this year-maybe the children's museum, since her actual bday is on a Tuesday

For LO's first birthday, we went to the aquarium, which was a lot of fun. DH took the day off work, and we made a special day of it, just the 3 of us.

This year, her birthday is on a Sunday, and I'm not sure what we're going to do. DH has to teach in the early afternoon/around naptime, so it will probably be a morning thing, whatever it is. I want to do balloons and streamers, though. I know she would love that!

We went to my parents' for dinner and had cupcakes. LO loves his grandparents and loves to help cook so he helped make his cupcakes. That's it. I was two days from my due date with LO2 and it was summer, so no way were we doing more.

She woke up to a new bike and a balloon curtain! We took her to breakfast then zoo. Then had her grandparents & uncle & his GF over for dinner & cake that evening.
