We're def going to open an account and put money in it, but I'm gonna get a physical gift too, to remember her first birthday! Right now I'm thinking about a PBk chair (or the like).

We did the PBK Anywhere Chair. She's about to have her 3rd bday and still loves the chair and uses it all the time.

@Truth Bombs: Actually, when does she use it? My SIL has one for her oldest and I never see him sit in it, ever! lol!

Melissa and Doug baby, baby grand piano. She still plays with it!

A KidKraft vintage kitchen, a kids music cd for a road trip we had coming, and her convertible car seat. She still uses all of them every day.
I'm trying to decide for DD2...

I want to get my baby a bike seat and I had other ideas but I forgot! Good thing I have a couple months left

A KidKraft play kitchen. We did the PBK anywhere chair for Christmas, however, and he started getting into it around 10-11 months, so I think it's a good first birthday gift! DS loves to line up toys on it, climb in and out of it, etc.

We got him a big party and an A&A dream blanket. He's obsessed with the blanket. My parents got him an anywhere chair and he likes it but he doesn't really sit and hang out in it- mostly throws it around and climbs on it. I like it though

An activity cube and a rocking dragon. She plays with both still at 16mo (the dragon much more now than before because he can get on/off of it by herself now).

We got her an IKEA play kitchen but I wish we got her an anywhere chair.

@snowjewelz: She likes to pull it into the living room when she is allowed to watch TV. And she sits in it to "rock her babies to sleep", or set her babies sitting in it. Or just climb on it. That chair sees a lot of action.

@snowjewelz: My LO uses her PBK chair all the time (she's 2). We got it for her when she was less than a year old. She has no interest in sitting on the couch or recliner to watch tv...it has to be in her chair. And when the cat sits in her chair she dumps him right out

I always get for first birthdays a personalized puzzle name stool from Personal Creations. Been doing it for 12 years! All the kids in our families have one.

You guys are all making me feel like an underachiever. We opened her 529 and have a few trinket type things from our trips we did (book, puzzle) that we saved. Nothing big or special! I was going to get her a play kitchen for Christmas but now I'm wondering if we need to step it up sooner...

PBK Chair for DD1.... and.... I don't think we actually got something for DD2

We have her a wooden walker toy that I picked up at a garage sale for $10. She got a ton of stuff from family and friends and we already have a ton of toys. I didn't see a need to spend a lot of money on something she won't remember or even be able to tell was from is at the time.

We just threw them nice birthday parties. They received tons of presents from friends and family.

A party. I bought myself a bookcase from costplus that I had been wanting, I felt that I deserved it

@MenagerieMama: we got our son a set of little people superhero figurines for his first birthday, so you're good

A play kitchen and a Cozy Coupe - still two of our most played with toys!

I knew she would get lots of toys from grandparents and our siblings, so I bought her something I think she will be able to keep til she's an adult - a really nice large wooden jewellery box. It currently holds her baptism cross and baptism jewellery, and it is big enough to fill up as she gets older.

@Freckles: I love the hacked Ikea play kitchens I see on Pinterest. Why do you wish you gave her a chair instead?
@Mae: do you have a link to the rocking dragon? That sounds fun. There's two toys from B Zany Zoo activity cube and B Parum Parum music toy.
@californiadreams: my bro got a radio flyer for his first Christmas. I bet my mom will get our LO one if it's a boy. She thinks that's a must have for boys, but I hadon't just as much fun using it.

@Purpledaisy: I like how you think! I shall tell DH I deserve a present, haha.

We got our LO a teepee, he loves going in and out of it. So far he seems to be really enjoying it. It was between getting him the teepee or the anywhere chair. We will probably be getting him the chair for Christmas now.

I believe E is getting a ride-in wagon from G&G for his bday... I really want to get him one of these books: https://www.lostmy.name/, so cute.

@snowjewelz: we have 2 PBK chair per child. One in the room and one in the media room. DS loves his chair!

@Mrs.Waffles: Oo which one did you get? Land of Nod?
@josina: Ohh that's cute too! Ahh, maybe I'll put it in her wish list!

@snowjewelz: We were going to get the striped black one from land of nod, but then we found a striped navy one at Sam's Club and got that one instead because it actually matched my LOs nursery. Same quality, plus the price was like $50 instead of $120.
