Maddy will be 2 on the 10th and I've been the biggest procrastinator (I don't even have her party planned). I was thinking of either giving her a Razor scooter or the Zany Zoo. We have the Zany Zoo already but debating on giving it for her Birthday or Christmas.

A scooter would be awesome. We gave DS a micro scooter when he was around 20 months, it was a little early, but he still uses it a lot.
We gave DS some books, new cars, and one of those rugs with streets on it (ikea) for his birthday.

I got him a little trampoline that could be flipped over as a pool. He used the trampoline indoors all winter.

LO received a swing set for his 2nd birthday, but it was a gift from my in-laws. Not knowing how to top that, we just bought a few small gifts for him to open up on his birthday -- books, water color set, bubbles, and a toy work bench. Later we used a gift card he received from his birthday and bought him a train table. Best gift ever for a train obsessed 2 year old.

@yin: we really wanted to get c a swing set, but her birthday is at the end of October and she won't get any use out of it. We are going to get her one in the spring.
C is really into tinkerbell and the other fairies right now, so we bought her all the fairies. I'm not sure what her big present will be! We need to get a move on shopping.

We actually didn't get her anything because the week leading up to her birthday, she was gifted with so many things from various people. Coincidentally, we had just gotten her her new big girl bed so we just made that her gift

We didn't get her anything for her 2nd birthday or her 1st! Just threw her a party. She got more than enough presents from friends and family.

Nothing!
It didn't occur to LO to think we would get him something, plus he was plenty spoiled by other relatives and friends (we had a little joint party with two other kids at a park). LO is currently 2.5, and we'll probably get him a little something this Christmas and for his next birthday, but it will be very minimal. And might come from the thrift store.
