I hate names picked out pre-preg. My "nursery" is still a functioning office.

I planned everything, except learning about birth. At 34w I still feel really unprepared for it! Maybe that's normal though. But yeah, we started the nursery the week we got our BFP, and had a name picked out very quickly.

@.twist.: Hahah I feel the same way. Every time I try to think about it my brain goes NOPE and I get distracted by something shiny.

@.twist.: @Bookworm: I'm actually really surprised at myself that I feel pretty unprepared about the birth too. I have books I could read, but instead, I don't even know what I do!

Our nursery is still pretty much a junk room-- last couple unpacked things, plus hand me down gear kind of thrown in there, and the crib and rocker have yet to be picked up from the stores. Yet I picked out where I wanted to deliver like a year before TTC. And I've researched what carrier I wanted to death.

@.twist.: Yeah... stroller was also picked out prior to TTC, yet I still spend hours more researching it to make sure I picked the right one after all. Then more hours researching to make sure I got the very best possible price ever.

I can't tell you how excited I was when someone bought the Beco Gemini carrier off our registry though

@Bookworm: @.twist.: The way I see it... the doctors/midwives are going to make sure the baby gets out, and you can only plan so much for birth anyway... but who but me will make sure I have the best greatest stroller and crib sheets??

Of course, that doesn't explain why I have yet to read anything about breastfeeding, other than on Hellobee.

@Foodnerd81: Your logic is totally sound. I am with you 100%. Even on breastfeeding. haha...

@Alivoo01: omg. I hadn't even thought of that. Our baby shower is this weekend and I have no idea where I'm going to put anything! Sometimes, if DH is working in there I will go in and start moving shit around and organizing papers and shuffling things and saying "we need to get this out of here" etc. hahaha I'm sure it drives him crazay!!!!!!

I'm gonna go with feeling unprepared about the birth as well.... I couldn't even bring myself to watch "A Baby Story" until recently. It's not that I'm scared (or maybe I'm in denial about that), it's just that I feel like I can't process what's about to happen in 4ish weeks!

I was really on top of product research... and buying cute baby clothes on sale Also, reading about how to take care of a newborn!
