First time around, I just wore a sweater and jeans (it was cold!), but now I need to figure out what DH and DD will wear, since I want to include both of them (but still have shots of just me).

Ours was done by my cousin, nonpro design student. DH and I went casual at a local park. He wore a polo and shorts, I wore leggings, tank, and a sleeveless tunic vest wrap thing

I wore a ruched striped dress - and if I do maternity photos ever again I will buy another one! It was so flattering and comfortable!
I had a couple outfit changes. The ones in the bedroom were done with white linen pants and a sparkly striped sweater, and some others outside were done with a striped top, skinny jeans, boots, and winter outwear...

A brown maxi dress, turquoise beaded necklace and boots, lol. It was an unseasonably warm October afternoon, we went down to the lake near our apartment.

This is the dress I am planning on, with a statement necklace, black tights, and heels. I plan on wearing it to one of my showers too.

@Alivoo01: Oooooh this makes me want to wear a shirt from our alma mater too. We might need to do an outfit change!

My fav thing for people to wear to maternity photos is long dresses. This was my fav outfit a mom has worn for one of my sessions. (Runner up would be fitted jeans + tank + cardigan + belt… always looks fabulous). I always think it is best to avoid anything that hits at the knee unless it is really fitted like @Mrs. Pen:'s dress (which looks amazing!!). If it isn't fitted it can make for a really unflattering silhouette.

@BabyBoecksMom: What's the temperature going to be like where you are? My husband took some DIY photos last weekend in the snow so I was all bundled up. I'll post one below!
@Mae: Is this a photo you took? It's beautiful!

@twodoghouse: aw, you look great!!! And yep, thanks! I have a photography business I currently do part time, trying to get going full time so I can ditch the boring day job

@Mae: That would be awesome to be able to go full time with your photography business! I can't wait to see the pics you take once your LO is here!

@twodoghouse: I'm in TX, so who knows what the weather will be like (last week it was in the 70's, this week it's in the 30's) haha
@Mae: Love that picture! I'm a jeans kind of girl, so I might go w/ your runner up. I wouldn't mind wearing a long dress, except it really annoys me that my thighs rub together so much now.

I wore a long sleeved black shirt and jeans and DH wore a blue and black plaid button up and jeans to match.
I also wore a pink sparkly top with black leggings and DH just had a plain black shirt with jeans.
I don't have any LOs though so I can't help there!
Here's a couple of pics. We kept it pretty casual since we did them at the house. I don't have any of the pink outfit yet. I haven't got the full set back. I personally like how these outfits turned out better anyway.

@Mrs. Pen: Cute! Where did you find that dress?
I didn't take maternity photos, but I've leaned from other photos to make sure it's something you feel comfortable in otherwise it will come across in the photos.

Jeans and a sweater that had a little belt/tie below the bust. Also boots. We were taking them in December in a park and I wanted it to be casual. If I did them again, I would want some with a dress. But fitted because the ones from my shower in a dress I hated. I look like a house.

@Mrs. Pen: Thanks! I'm going to need to invest in at least one good dress for at least 3 different events.
