Forrest
It's the front runner boy name for us right now. DH is 100% on board but I'm still not sure. I like it. It's an old name, goes well with T's name, and meets our criteria.
But I'm hesitant for the obvious "run Forrest run!" Haha
For fun, feel free to suggest other boy names. We like older, non-trendy, strong names.

I knew a few Forrest's growing up and the "run, Forrest, run" never seemed to be an issue.

I've never met a Forrest IRL, but it has a very strong connection to the movie for me.

I do think of the movie, but I doubt his peers would. And there are plenty of other names that remind me of movies but wouldn't mean I won't use them. I like it and think it goes well with T's name.

Our local police chief was named Forrest and he goes by Woody...I can't get over that reference.

My immediate thought was of Forrest Whitaker, not Gump. And I quote that movie constantly!

I used to love this name, but then Forrest Gump hit theaters. My first name is another name from this movie and I still get comments some 20+ years later. However with it being a whole new generation, your son wouldn't get teased from peers for the name Forrest, so I say go for it if you love it!

I think it's a nice name and the Forrest Gump reference probably wouldn't deter me from using (as others have stated, there probably aren't too many kids who will know the reference).
And people are probably more likely to yell, Run! Forrest! Run! at anyone running than a kid actually named Forrest. I ran track in high school and heard it all the time...
