We mostly call our by her nicknames!

Different situation but I mostly use nicknames for my cats. They answer to anything though!

Hmmm...I guess it depends! He has lots of nicknames. Depending on the conversation I'll say Jacob, Jake or J (sometimes it comes out fatty, stinky or silly tubba-wubba...haha!)

When speaking directly to LO, DH and I almost always use her name. But when talking about her to each other or our families, we almost always use one of several nicknames.

DD identifies herself by her nickname; DS is usually called by his full name.

@Honeybee: love it! Poor Lala has so many nicknames, she doesn't know if she's coming or going. I think she just picks a self identification based on her mood!

When I talk about her I almost always use her nickname. When I talk to her it's half and half. Most people call her by her nickname. But, we picked her name with the intention of her having a nickname so I am OK with that:)

Usually her nickname, but I'll use her fullname when talking about her to other people and when she's being a stinker.

When talking about her I use her name, but when talking to her it's half her name and half nicknames. Her name is super short (three letters) so it not cumbersome to say.

DD doesn't have a nickname, so she only goes by her real/full name.

Ha ha, I call her so many little nicknames... she gets sweetpea, chicken, pumpkin, beautiful girl, gorgeous girl, baby girl, little friend, little buddy, poppet, superstar, rockstar....all more than her actual name, but I'm trying to use her real name more now so she doesn't assume she is actually called chicken : )

A million and one nicknames that have nothing to do with his real name. I hardly every use his real name!

I was just talking about this with dh. We keep saying that we should use his real name more often so that he knows what it actually is and doesn't think its bubba.

We mostly use nicknames but when we're trying to calm her down we use her first and middle name.... mind you she is only 4 months old LOL
