Charlie's pre-K is out for 12 days over Christmas... so all I want for Christmas is 12 days of childcare!!
Barring that, I'd love a massage... my back is still recovering from our recent move!
What would you like to get for Christmas?

We are going home to MA for the week of Christmas. I'm considering asking my parents to get us a night in a hotel in Boston and keep the baby overnight for us while we're there.

Stuff for my camera--a new lens, flash, tripod, remote.
Or an initial disc necklace.
Or someone to come in and deep clean my house and organize my cupboards. That would be super.

@MamaMoose: Don't consider, just do it!!
I really want a new wallet. Except the one I want is $200

Really expensive jewellery because the thing I really want is a child-free day, which won't happen for a really long time.

First thing I thought of? To be pregnant.
Something DH could actually buy? A kitchenaid mixer

To be back in my pre-pg jeans . . . I think I can I think I can I think I can . . . !

A long, long lie in!!!!!
Failing that, a new purse would be lovely (when I say purse, I mean the thing you keep money in, not a handbag).

I'd love to be back at prebaby weight by Christmas. I stop pumping in a month, so it's possible! 9lbs to go!

I want a DSLR SO BADLY but I'll never get one. Well, not for Christmas, anyway.
I asked my parents for cash...lame-o.

I want the purse I posted in the drool worthy purse thread! Not gonna happen tho...
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
I want a DSLR and perfume. One I should get, one I might have to buy myself
pomelo / 5509 posts
@sunny: It wouldn't be a bad plan, but I asked for cash because DH and I's gift to each other is a trip to Costa Rica in January. I asked for the cash so we could have spending money for the trip. But it would be nice to ALSO have a good camera to take pics with!!

@bluestriped bee: hugs
I want to be drama free this Christmas. The holidays seem to be surrounded by drama with our families.
Something physical that someone could buy? I think a new iPad would be cool...

I really want an armchair for the living room, but my dream one is waaaay too expensive to be remotely reasonable.

@pui: I have that pebble...in white. It's a great conversation starter.

A new wardrobe. I was pregnant for 2 years straight. My wardrobe is basically maternity

massage
bath stuff
socks
iphone 5
gift cards to sephora/kindle cards/etc.

@MsLipGloss: Same! It's such a hard time of year to eat clean though! I wouldn't need any gifts if I could just fit into my pre-baby wardrobe.

@chopsuey: You can dooo eeeeet! I should be able to get close I think . . . but hey, I will take any and all progress!
@QueensBee: I can't imagine a *clean* Thanksgiving, but I am sure going to try (although a little slice of pumpkin pie won't kill all my efforts!). I am trying to plan out what events we have so that I can try to stick to my plan as well as I can . . . and then for holiday days and a few events, I am going to allow mahselfs to have just a few treats. But nothing like I normally would!

@MsLipGloss: haha goal is to be down 6lbs by j's party! Wooooooo
You with me?!

A right handed ring with LO's birthstone. Or a massage. Nevermind, definitely a massage!
coconut / 8861 posts
Same as @mrbee. LO isn't in daycare from Dec. 20-Jan. 1. I'm going to be super tired during that time.
I would love not to go down to see the inlaws. Since that won't happen, lots of booze to get through it and sleep.
GOLD / pineapple / 12662 posts
@chopsuey: Yes! 100%
6 pounds from today . . . ! I have never been so excited about salad and lean protein in my whole life, hahaha! I am also dragging DH along for the ride with me, bless his heart!

@MsLipGloss: Oh yeah, weight loss goals. I hope to lose a fair amount of weight before staying with DH's grandma and her Southern cooking. I'm going to have to be hardcore on my WW points during Thanksgiving and Christmas.

@cascademom: With a little activity here and there, I bet you will totally come out like a champ! You have been so on it lately!
@chopsuey: @cascademom: @QueensBee: I am totally hearing *Eye of the Tiger* in my head . . . !

@MsLipGloss: Thanks. This week, I've indulged in chocolate covered oreos and Tootsie Rolls. Being thinner during the holidays will help in general. I'm hoping to be down close to goal weight by New Year's. If not, I won't be too upset since I'm pushing off TTC for awhile longer.
pomelo / 5720 posts
I'd like a new purse and a right hand ring but I probably won't get either since I haven't mentioned it to DH and I don't have anything in particular in mind. I'd also go for a massage or a night away with DH and without LO.
GOLD / pineapple / 12662 posts
@cascademom: It helps to take it one meal/day at a time . . . No guilt! If I indulge (whether it be planned or spur-of-the-moment), I try to enjoy it, and then get right back on the wagon with the next meal! It's not perfection that matters . . . just consistency!

A Kitchen Aid mixer!!
Or if Santa and his elves could use some magic.... I'd love to magically wake up 15 LBS lighter. Sigh.
coconut / 8861 posts
@MsLipGloss: That's a good way to do it. I try to balance out my indulgences. If I indulge during the day, I won't at night. I find if I have enough fruit, it makes the indulgences more manageable.

A month of healthy babies. Twenty-four hours to my self. To lose all the baby weight. Yeah, none of those things are going to happen by Christmas, so I'll go with:
-camera stuff (lens, diffuser, remote)
-a massage
-money to buy some new clothes since I'm no where close to my pre-baby weight
-cookbooks
-cake decorating tools
