My daughter just turned two. She calls my mom Nama (came up with this on her own). My dad is Grandpa. DH's dad is Papa and DH's mom is Namo (she came up with after my MIL suggested she call her FarMor, which is Swedish for Father's Mother 🙄). Anyway, I love the way she says all the names and she adores them all. What do your kids call their grandparents?

Mema and Papa for both sets of grandparents. He picked it up all on his own around 18 months when we were visiting my inlaws. He used it with my parents a month later.
I kinda wish he had chosen a different name for my parents so we would automatically know who he was talking about, but I think it's super cute that he came up with their names!

Grandma and Grandpa for the in-laws. La La and Pop for my parents. My mom really wanted to be Lolli, like Lolli and Pop - Lollipop. 🙄 But the kids started calling her La La instead, which I like better, haha.

Staramama and stariata for great grandparents and DH's parents, makaka for my mom (couldn't pronounce staramama and it just stuck), and grandpa for my dad.

My parents are Gigi and Pop Pop. They were supposed to be Grammy and Grandpa but DS couldn't say it. He refused to say the Gr sound but could say the Pa part of Grandpa and it turned into Pop Pop. My mom got sooo upset that he wouldn't even try to say Grammy so we tried a few things that were close and he finally would say Gigi. ILs are Nana and Grampy, we see them less so by the time we saw them after he started talking he could say both just fine.

My parents are nana and papa. My grandma, who she sees 4-5 times a year, is gigi. My grandpa and his wife are just grandpa and Ginny. My in laws are grandma and grandpa, and grandpa and granny. My husband's grandma, who we see pretty often, is great grandma. My husband's grandpa and his wife have only met her once, so no names for them. Kid has a lot of grandparents.

My parents: Bahbas and Grandma Cookie (just Cookie for short) - guess why/how my mom got that name lol

MaMaw & PaPaw for DH's parents (I don't love it because it often sounds exactly like Mama when MIL says it). Papa for my dad and Grandma for my mom, but that one's a little abstract to LO because she passed away when DD was 7 months old.

We've got Nana and Poppy and Granny and Granpa. Believe it or not, it took for-freaking-ever to settle on granny and grandpa. My ILs just could not decide.
