So I thought my hubby was half joking when he said no two-piece swimsuits for our DD, but he is dead serious!! I explained that two pieces might be more practical for diaper changes and stuff, but he wasn't having any of it. I think he's so silly!
For those with daughters, is your DH the same way??

Our 15 year old DD wears 2 pieces (Bikinis) and we are fine with it. They are never showing her private areas just her tummy. We are team green so we do not know if LO is a boy or girl but if LO is a girl I won't put her in any type of tummy showing swim suit until she is old enough to pick it out herself. I do not like baby bikinis or really anything that shows a baby/toddler girls tummy. I think tankinis are fine though.

We have a two piece but is a bottom and a rash guard so he doesn't mind. It is way easier for swim diapers with poop in them to not have to pull the whole suit off. Plus I like the benifit of the sun protection of the rash guard. My husband agrees but if any part Of her tummy was showing I think he would feel different

We also do a rash guard plus bottom so diaper changes are easy. As for a bikini, I am not a fan myself so I have yet to put DD in one.

My husband doesn't mind, our daughter is a year. I think he thinks she's cute with her little tummy hanging out. The pool we go to is pretty laid back, some of the kids are just in swim diapers at the pool.

We are both in agreement that we don't want 2 pieces for our daughter. Maybe when she's older (middle/high school age) but even then we will be pretty strict about what two pieces she can wear. Modesty is important to us.

i LOVEEEEE them, but i have a feeling the hubs isn't a fan. i have super cute pics of me as a baby in a bikini, so maybe that's why i'm such a fan.

Our LO wears cute little two pieces all the time! DH doesn't care at all. LO has a cute little belly and should show it off

Both DH and I agree it depends on the way its cut, I dont like the string bikinis that have padding in the cups. If it looks like a little girl swimsuit thats fine but if its a mini version of an adult sexy suit then no.

I don't care for baby bikinis anyway, so I don't care what he says! I like the idea of a two piece as in a bottom and a rash guard, or a tankini, but I'm not comfortable with the ones that are cut like little triangles on top. It's not the tummy I have any problem with, it's the adult style tops. I definitely think a separate bottom would make it so much easier to change-- even for me I think that!

I have a son, but when I was pregnant I was seriously stalking a line of cruisewear for babies at Janie and Jack. I showed my husband and he said that he didn't think the bikinis would be appropriate for a baby.
My feeling is that until they are about 5, they're still learning how to use their bodies to move, so the pieces ride up, and that's not attractive. We'd do rashguards anyway, so it would be a total waste.

I love little belly's hanging out! I don't think Dh will have a preference until she gets older and boys are an issue 
My parents always let us pick out our swimwear, so I plan on doing the same with my daughter.

Not sure but honestly I'm not sure how *I* feel about putting her in a 2 piece! Maybe a tankini but I don't think I'll go bikini.

DD has a two-piece sunsuit, which is basically a rash guard and shorts; I don't think my husband would be comfortable with her wearing any other kind of two-piece swimsuit.
