And is it the name you chose or a name your LO came up with on his/her own? My parents picked their grandparent names and are pretty excited about it, but figure there is an equal chance our LO will bestow whatever name he chooses upon them.

LO is still in utero but we plan on having him call both sets of grandparents "grandma and grandpa" but in their respective language, Chinese and Khmer.

My parents are Grandma and Grandpa but LO calls them Mama and Papa because she can't say Grandma and Grandpa yet. We still call them Grandma and Grandpa though so eventually I'm sure she will too.
DH's parents are Nanny and Poppy, both of which LO can say.

My parents chose Gramma and Poppy, DH's chose Nana and Poobah. Time will tell if that's what they'll actually end up being called
I hope so though, all the names are pretty easy and they all love their chosen names.

The one parent who didn't care what she was called, my mom, is the one that got a special name. DD turned Grandma into Grammy. My dad is Granddad and DH's parents are Nana and Grandpa.

My ILs are already Nana and Pops to their other grandsons so they'll be that. My dad and stepmom will probably be Grandma Jon and Grandma Connie, and my mom is, at the moment, Grandma K (for Katie), but I keep telling her if she wants to be called something else to let me know. Or E will just call her whatever he wants, lol.
