The new fall line-up is in full gear, and I'm looking for some new shows to watch. I'm excited about x factor (I went to a taping a couple months ago), and Up All Night looks promising.
What shows have piqued your interest?

I ((love)) Up All Night! I'm looking forward to The Office, The Simpsons, Parks & Recreation, Modern Family, New Girl and Raising Hope. =) Fall is a great time for TV.

Hubs and I don't have cable so we watch all of our tv online, which means a slightly different schedule, but, we're looking forward to our old favorites: House, Bones, Castle, Raising Hope, Glee, and Harry's Law. If you like Kathy Bates, you have to watch Harry's Law! It's about time she got her own show!

Oh my gosh, this is such a perfect topic! I'm obsessed with TV!
The new shows I'm excited about are: Revenge, Ringer, The Secret Circle, Terra Nova, Once Upon a Time, and Grimm.
The oldies but goodies: Desperate Housewives, Dexter, Castle, Vampire Diaries, Bones, Nikita, Fringe, and Chuck.

@Adira - How bummed are you that Bones isn't coming back until November and will be doing a short season? I understand why, but still!!!!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Maisymay - I KNOW!!! Totally bummed! I LOVE Bones! But I guess I understand the reasoning and it makes sense. It's definitely going to be interesting to see the new dynamic between Bones and Booth! I can't wait!

@Adira - Yeah! I love how the season ended with that huge grin on his face! Did you see the premiere for Castle? It was so good! And I already cannot stand the new captain!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Maisymay - Yes! I love Castle! Although I'm kind of worried about Kate and Castle. They're both keeping secrets from each other! I think if Kate finds out about Castle's secret, she'll never forgive him! I can't decide how I feel about the new captain. She's definitely DIFFERENT! And certainly has a lot less love/tolerance for our favorite duo. I think they will have to do a lot more sneaking around behind her back than they had to do with the old captain. It'll be interesting!

can't wait for shows that haven't started yet: dexter, walking dead, parks and recreation, nikita, desperate housewives... i'm sure there are others.
but so glad other shows have already started: breaking bad, curb your enthusiasm, parenthood, weeds, the big c....

@Tequiero21 - OMG, I can't believe I forgot The Walking Dead! Sooooo good!

@Blushink - I watched The New Girl and couldn't really get into it. I think it will have some good episodes, but it didn't grab my attention. I watch HIMYM once in a while, and was curious about the Playboy Club. How was the premiere for that one?

We gave up cable back in June, so I'm looking forward to whatever I can get on HuluPlus! I'm super bummed I'm missing Top Chef Just Desserts and when Top Chef Texas starts up later this fall, I may have to impose on a friend! I SO wish Bravo shows were on Hulu

I am so excited that The Office, HIMYM & Modern Family are back on! I am also still obsessed with Grey's and cried like a baby all night last night

I'm really excited for a new season of Chuck, Dexter, Community... and quite a few others, too. I probably watch too much TV, but DVR makes it so easy!
I caught the first episode of New Girl and LOVED it, so I'll be watching that each week too, I'm sure!

So, apparently Dexter's first episode has been leaked and my husband downloaded it for me. I'm only halfway through, but I've gotta say I'm a little disappointed so far. Bummer.

I saw Charlie's Angels last night. The did a pretty good job with it. My husband is a huge 24 fan and said that some of the shots/techniques are pretty similar (inset screens with action in both, etc).
What did you think of it?

we cancelled cable a year ago so i'm not as up-to-date with tv shows as i used to be, but i try to watch whatever is on hulu. i've been watching the lying game and switched at birth, which aren't bad. i'm also excited for modern family, the new girl, chuck, project runway, and my ULTIMATE - top chef!!! i always find a way to watch top chef even though it's not online. if i can't watch anything else, that show alone is enough to get me my tv fix!

Just watched Up all night, and it looks good so far!
Other shows that I love: Boardwalk Empire (can't wait for more of this season, last night had a good season premiere!), Grey's, 30 Rock, Parks & Recs.
And I know these aren't fall shows, but more winter shows: Californication and Shameless!

@maisymay - we don't have cable either but we hooked an old rabbit ear antenna to our HD TV downstairs and it works great!
We like Modern Family, The Amazing Race, The Middle and NCIS. We also watch Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy online.
I'd like to try Up All Night and The New Girl (I wasn't around to watch them last week but I'll try and catch up this week).
I am so disappointed with Glee. I was into it for the first season and then it started going downhill. So sad. It was such a great show when it started ... before all of the guest stars started showing up. Maybe it's just because I hate Gwyneth Paltrow. Whatevs.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@jbhops - Do you still watch Glee? I watched the whole first season and started the second, but I just couldn't get into it. I felt like they were focusing way too much on the songs and their guest of the week or their artist of the week and they just forgot all about what a plot was. I couldn't keep watching.
@maisymay - What exactly is the plot for PanAm? Or is it like Grey's Anatomy, but with air stewardesses?
GOLD / cantaloupe / 6703 posts
@Adira - It has a bit of a Grey's feel. The pilot introduced how one of the characters became a stewardess, one pilot's love life (kinda), another stewardess' intro to the CIA (pretty cool), and another stewardess' French intrigues. Sorry, I'm trying to not give away anything! It was well filmed, and I love the history of that era, so it was fun. It's on hulu.
