She surprises me often with what she repeats. Full complex sentences with the exact same intonation that I use. It's hilarious.

@sorrycharlie: Wow, so smart! Way to go cutie! We always count to 20 together while going up and down the stairs (17 actually). Yesterday she counted to 12 by herself.

Apparently she knows how to make phone calls. She was talking about daddy the other night in the car while she was playing a Disney Princess app on my phone. Suddenly she gets quiet and the app noise disappears. A minute later I hear her chatting away. I looked back and she said "talkin' to daddy!" and showed me the phone... they were actually talking. She decided that she missed him and needed to chat. I guess she can read his name...? haha

@sorrycharlie: Netflix! yes, my LO can spell this one, too.
Just learned that she can sight read song titles from her two favorite artists, MJ & Abba. I didn't believe at first so I shuffled the songs around and asked her play me some songs and she played them correctly. Wondering if Chiquitita and Thriller are on the kindergarten gifted test, haha.

@photojane: haha!
She is doing great with potty training. Still will be a while before we send her to day care in panties and not pull-ups but I am really impressed.

This wasn't the most recent surprise but it was a sweet surprise. So several pieces of my paintings are licensed with a children's wall art company, and recently I have gotten the product samples from them... canvases and a lamp that is intended for kids rooms. I basically created all of them with my son (3 years old) in mind. I showed it to him, he was really excited. He has a old camera that is half broken, and he just kept taking pictures of the canvases and the lamp with it. Finally I put them all up in his room, and he goes on and on basically like this:
"Mommy, you made these for me? I really like these. You make my life so beautiful. I am so happy. Thank you mommy."
These are direct quotes!! I am quite surprised he was capable to say "You made my life beautiful". And he said that several times on different days. Sometimes my monkey can be quite sweet.
