We haven't had one of these in a while.
Today I am going to cancel our home phone and cable. 
We don't use our home phone (only our mothers use it and they can start getting used to phoning our cell phones like everyone else 
)
We don't use our cable either, L watches the disney channel but that one, extra $4 channel, is hardly worth the whole $40 for basic cable.

Well last night I didn't pull the trigger on an Old Navy order. I'm trying to go the entire month without shopping but March is a hard one to get through without new clothes with Spring coming and I legitimately need a new pair of spring-appropriate jeans. And I returned some stuff so it'd be at even if I placed the order.
But still, I didn't order it yet. Not sure what I'll end up doing. But anytime in the last few months I would have made that purchase no problem!
We also just made it through another weekend without going out to eat!

Ok, so technically this was Friday, but I changed my cell phone plan based on my recent usage & went from a $90 plan to a $50 plan. Totally kick myself for not doing this months ago!!

Does breastfeeding count and cloth diapering count? I feel like I'm always saving money doing both of those.
I'm actually doing the opposite of saving money today. DH's aunt asked to watch DD. I gladly said yes and am indulging in some me time for a couple hours. I picked up a latte and am getting a pedi. It's my first one since DD was born.

I changed my repayment plan for my student loans. It's actually going to increase my payment (boo!) but they'll be paid off much faster and we'll save tons of $$$ in interest in the long run.

Brought lunch, that's about it. This week with DD2's birthday so money is being spent more than usual BUT I did find a 50% coupon for a sandwich shop, so our party platters are 1/2 price 
that's a win in my book! 18 people for 30 bucks.

I used tax refund to pay off almost all credit card debt and husband and I committed to living within a better budget and no longer incurring credit debt.

I packed my breakfast and lunch.
We just started speaking with a financial counselor and the amount of money we spend on eating out is ridiculous. I am the biggest culprit since I usually buy breakfast and lunch in the City.

@GoGoSnoGirl: $50 dollar phone plan!? That is unheard of here (unless you want to go with the worst providers ever!). I had a very old $60 dollar plan and I recently upgraded my phone and they REQUIRED me to have a basic $70 dollar plan to even upgrade.

And it was decided today we will be paying of DH's car 9 months early which will save us his car payment plus car insurance (moving it to liability.) Happy about saving money, however sad that this means getting new carpet is being pushed back instead.
I know it's the smart decision but I wanted carpet in April now it looks like it will be closer to July-August.

Baked buttermilk biscuits from scratch so that DH and I can make breakfast biscuits at home instead of dropping cash at McDonald's on the way to work in the morning.
Bought a bunch of 9 volt batteries at the dollar store today after DH had to run out in the middle of the night and spend a small fortune on them at a convenience store on Saturday to get our fire alarm to stop screeching to have the batteries replaced.
