There is a tasty pastrami sandwich shop on our block...the sandwiches and chili cheese fries are amazing!

A fried chicken place that we never eat at, or a Subway and a local Mexican fast food chain. Our options aren't great, we usually have to drive a little bit to get a meal!

The closest is a sushi restaurant. Not the best but its easy to call in an order and go pick it up.
squash / 13199 posts
we have a strip of stores with an italian pizza shop and a bagel place.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
I guess it would the Cheesecakse Factory. Which is a bummer since we don't like it.
But we have a ton we can walk to right now, Season's 52, J Christopher's, Chinese, Moe's, Brio, McDonalds, etc.

The very closest place is a terrible Chinese food restaurant that we NEVER go to. It's only about 30 seconds further to get to our fave local place, a British pub... sooooo good.

A coffee shop that's about a quarter mile away, then about a mile away there is a jack-in-the-crack (ew), starbucks, mcdonalds and burger king.

The closest things are a pizza parlor and home cookin' place...both are pretty delish!
coconut / 8475 posts
closest...hmm...There is a bakery close to us but not many other eating places. The bakery isn't even the type to sell croissants and/or coffee. It's pretty much just like fancy /special occasion cakes & cupcakes...or cake balls and dipped pretzels.
*We do have a grocery store close to us that has a Coffee Beanery" attached.

The closest would be our bar. lol We live close to work. We just serve bar food though. Burgers, fried food, sandwiches. Only another block up and you have basically any kind of German food you could want. I live in a tourist town settled by Germans, so there are a LOT of German restaurants. lol
ETA: In college my apartment was right across the street from an really good chinese food place... That was a great surprise at that apartment, but not good on my waistline or wallet!

Hmm....I think the closest is a coffee shop that has good soups and sandwiches. There's a pretty good bar and grill a few businesses down from that (with a deck with live music on the weekends!), and on the other side there's a Pita Pit and Subway.

The closest is a little bread cafe that hasn't opened yet. The closest open place is a home-style place that is only open for breakfast & lunch so we've never been.

Subway, Tazinos, Taco Bell, Buffalo Wild Wings, Qdoba, Mcdonald's, Sonic.

A little local deli and Italian place. Never go to either. We're in a downtown area so Id rather walk an extra block for more options

@luckypenny: haha surprisingly we don't go there much...maybe once every 6 weeks.

@mrsaudi: I heard their milkshakes are good!

There's really quite a bit. We have Barros, Subway, Sonic, McDonalds, Taco Bell, Wendys, Peter Piper Pizza, Senor Taco, Thai Patio, Chilis, and Gyro Place all within walking distance. Also, Safeway, Target, and several gas stations. Oh, and Walgreens. I think that about covers it.
ETA: I forgot about Firehouse subs and Coldstone Creamery LOL

We have a ton of restaurants right up the street, actually up the street both ways, so I'm not sure and I don't even think I can list them all.

It's a tie between McDonalds and a Mexican restaurant. Subway and a Chinese restaurant are just across the intersection.

3 blocks away is an italian place. Food is pretty good and very kid friendly. It's not cheap but not super expensive either. But we don't go there often because it's always super crowded, especially around the times when families with young kids go out to eat.

Quite a few places! A couple mexican restaurants, Chili's, a couple bars, a Thai place, a Nosh Euro Bistro, a smoothie joint, variety of fast food joints, a greek place, an Indian place, Boston's market, Chipotle, Subway, and a bunch more.

There's a strip mall with a Vietnamese restaurant, a Korean/Chinese place, and a PARIS BAGUETTE yummmmmmm

@Alivoo01: I love Boston Market! The one near me closed down!

The closest is either Jack in the Box or Sonic.
GOLD / squash / 13464 posts
Sonic is closest. There is no great food close to us. We need to drive to get a decent meal.
honeydew / 7303 posts
We have a bw3, tazikis (Mediterranean), a local Mexican place, a frozen yogurt place, a five guys, jimmy johns, and an Indian place within a half mile. Yum!!!

A pizzeria and an Italian restaurant. If we take an alternate route, I think it ends up being the hot dog/burger joint and an ice cream shop. There's cafes flanking those and a larger restaurant next to it (the restaurant actually owns the cafe and the hot dog joint, it's connected inside, but they look like separate businesses from the outside).

We live in the heart of Little Italy so there are 3+ blocks worth of eating establishments on either side of us. We rarely eat out though and have barely tried most of the restaurants, even after living here for 4 years! The closest is a pizza joint right next door to the right of us, which is next to an Edible Arrangements, and a cupcake place (not very good)... and then a Brazilian BBQ fast food place to the right of us.
There is a yummy cupcake boutique 3 blocks away and I've been craving a cupcake from there for days... argh.
hostess / wonderful honeydew / 32460 posts
We have a ton of eateries across the street (a block away).
Mexican, Yard House, CPK, Subway, Thai, Burger place, Moe's, etc. etc.!
bananas / 9118 posts
A Jimmy John's- with a drive thru!! A new mom's best friend- you can grab food without taking baby out of the car. Across the street from that is a Dunkin', my bff on many a morning!
