I'm not sure if it would be a parenting issue or not, but she has the worst stranger anxiety right now. She never sees anyone during the day, and most of the week except me and DH in the evenings so when she sees someone new or someone she hasn't seen in a while she FREAKS out. She gets so hysterical, and she is only 5 months old...I hate this. We walked down to get the mail the other day and the neighbor said hi to her (little old lady) and she freaked out. We went out to eat the other night and DH's parents came, and she freaked out. People came up to "see the baby" and she freaked out. I have no idea what to do, I feel like it's my fault though. Sigh.

13 weeks old and nursing is VERY hard in a harness, but she won't take a bottle or let a LC help, she goes nuts and won't eat if one tries to alter her position while she's nursing. Very stressful as her latch is bad too so my supply suffers and she's tiny! Oh and sleep.

I'm afraid to say this for fear of jinxing things, but right now things are pretty good. Wagon Jr. (3) definitely has his moments where he gets all pouty and says "anything! anything!" (meaning he doesn't want to do anything we say, or he doesn't want anything we offer him) and threatens to melt down. But he's finally at an age where we can negotiate with him, and with a lot of attention, one-on-one talking, and back and forth talking he usually brightens and says "ok!" and is totally fine.

I guess with him, our biggest challenge right now is food. That is also getting better (he'll actually put a new food in his mouth and chew, but he still spits most things out).

With LMW (almost 7 months) I think our biggest challenge is that she's so big and heavy! She's not sitting up on her own yet but she's dying to crawl and can go backwards pretty fast. She's been doing a head-turning thing that I'm pretty worried about, but everyone has been assuring me that it's a normal self-soothing technique and she'll grow out of it (and Wagon Jr. did it too at this age, but not as severely). But ever since her sleep has regulated (sleeping thru the night for almost 2 weeks consistently, knock on wood!!) we've come to the realization that she's a very easy baby.

I think our biggest challenge overall is that we are so. crazy. busy. We barely have time to relax each day, and it's been tough building in time for each other (as in Wagon Sr. and myself). We're keeping our heads above water by staying super organized and scheduling things well, but it's pretty overwhelming at times.

ds is almost 6 months and not sleeping through night. occasionally he will wake up at 4am and nurse, but i am not switching over to formula because the thought of making bottles at night seems like a nightmare to me. especially on nights he is up 3x or more.

oh yeah, and i solo parent all week so that is hard. DH makes a lot more money than i do and it occasionally causes resentment that when something happens with the baby (sickness, whatever) i have to stay home and get docked pay and rearrange my schedule instead of him.

LO is 13 months and she hates bath time and tooth brushing so much. It wears me out.

LO is almost 2, and I feel like he's in pretty good shape (he sleeps well, eats well, has no health issues), though we're working on sharing. Daycare has never said anything about him having problems with it, but lately he's been REALLY possessive of his toys, and whatever he's playing with at someone else's house.

Knock on wood but we're at a pretty good stage right now. My biggest challenge right now is trying to increase my supply. I really want to make it to a year and she's currently 9.5 months.

Sleep. LO is 6.5 months old and wakes every 1-2 hours at night, screaming and crying if I don't nurse her. She also only naps for about 30 minutes 3x a day, so I can't catch up on my rest then.

G is 8 and is really coming into the "Why can't I control my own life" stage and not only has he's been alot more argumentative lately in some cases he's been nonchalantly defiant like it's no big deal. Most definitely frustrating AND a time where I'm really thinking about how every reaction I/we have will affect the direction the next few years take. Not my favorite at all!

With P at 8 months, right now everything is going really easy so now struggles. I guess I would like to get more sleep (she wake 2-4 time a night) but otherwise all is well.

@banana- it IS tough. I'm glad your DD started sleeping longer stretches! There should be a no mama sleep support group, lol.

@regberdaisy I am keeping my fingers crossed. I know she has it in her, I believe in her!

@katyh: LOL! Yes, I would totally join that group. I really really really hope she continues sleeping longer stretches. And I also hope that @regberadaisy is right. Only 3 more weeks to go until she turns 7.5 months!!!

DD has pretty much zero interest in solids and she is going to be 8 months old next week. I offer her all the time, but aside form a couple of bites here and there she just isn't into it. We are also right in the middle of th week 37 wonder week phase so she is pretty moody and fussy for no apparent reason.

My daughter is a well behaved kid when she's not with her brother but when he's around, she picks up on all his bad behavior including the pickiness of food.
I wish I can just skip the 3 year old stage. My son is totally talking back to us now and starting to be manipulative. We still have bedtime problems with him - putting him to bed is such a chore!

Sleep... I can't remember the last time I slept more than a 4hr stretch. E will be 9months next week and he really needs to be night weaned, but he will scream for hours until he gets fed in the middle of the night. He never eats much, it really is just a comfort thing. With WOH though it's easier to just feed him so I can get some sleep. I told DH I wanted 10 hrs of uninterrupted sleep for Christmas and again for Valentine's day... still hasn't happened, maybe for my birthday.

E - 8 months, waking up all through the night.

B - almost 4 years (in two months) tantrums, waking at 4am, being bossy!

For us it's eating. He is already such a picky eater and he's not even a year old! I've introduced so many different foods to him but he will spit out most vegetables and meats and throw a little tantrum.

I was also trying to wean one of our 3 daytime nursing sessions but that was stressing me out and causing major crankiness so I went back to our old ways and we are both happier!

DD is almost six months and it is sleep sleep sleep. She is such a good natured, funny, happy baby but when it comes to anything sleep ( getting to sleep, staying asleep) it feels like we just can't figure things out!
