Curious about the different systems everyone uses with their cloth wipes? I've read some pre soak, some spray the babes bum and wipe etc. What works best for you? If you use a certain "spray" or solution other than water what do you recommend?

We spray and wipe. I had bought some CJ's Plus Spritz (really liked it) and then when it ran out I just cleaned the bottle and now fill it will just water. Sometime I'll add a drop of Lavender oil of TTO, but usually it's just water.

We have a stack of dry wipes and a bowl of water. We dip and wipe as needed.

We use a wipes warmer and pre-soak the wipes, then put them in the warmer. We go through them in about 3 says, so they don't mildew or anything like that. Prince Lionheart warmer, and the wipes are in a 2c water, 2 tblsp coconut oil, and 2 tblsp baby wash solution.

I use old sheets cut into squares and I keep about ten in a lidded plastic container with water, a squirt of liquid baby soap and a wee dash of baby oil. Ten wipes does about two days but I use store-bought wipes for poop.

I have a stack of baby rags and I just run them under the faucet as needed.

I use baby wash cloths and spray her tushy with water. Easy peasy

Do you all worry that your wipes/spray are cold? I feel like I need to use warm water, but it's a pain to let the water run and wait for it to get warm pre-wipe.

I spray her bottom and then wipe. Usually just water, but I have Kissaluvs Diaper Lotion Potion for particularly sticky messes.
@Mrs. Tricycle: Nope. It's room temp, and she's used to it. It would be impossible to have warm wipes everywhere we go.

@MusicaV: I thought this would probably be easiest solution but I can just picture my clumsy self spilling it everywhere!
@HabesBabe: That sounds like a great combo, loving coconut oil these days. What kind of wash do you use? How many cloth wipes will the Prince Lionheart hold?
@Kemma: Do you bring a small container of the same in your diaper bag? I'm so curious if cloth wipes are a big pain in the a@# when out of the house or not?!

@Weagle: Do you really like the lotion potion? I'm wondering if something like that is a necessity or just nice to have.

We used a travel container for wipes and dampened about 6 at a time and folded them in the container. We would refill as needed (usually day or day or so). We just used plan water.

We have a stack of cloth wipes (baby wash cloths) and a small bowl of water next to our changing area. Each time we need to wipe his bum, we dip a wipe into the bowl and squeeze out the water. Easy-peasy!

@lolabee: It's not a necessity. I use it maybe every other week. The concentrate lasts a really long time!

I CD, but do not use cloth wipes, bought them but didn't jump in with them too.....after reading this, I need to try them!

@lolabee: We fold our wipes in half or thirds (depending on the thickness/size), and the warmer fits about 24 wipes total

I tried the california diaper area spray and the jury is still out on that. I use disposable wipes but also use cloth too. I mostly fill a small basin with warm water and dip the wipe in there to clean her bottom

I use a peri bottle and put some warm water and hospital wash cloths, i cut them in half to get more out of it and put them in an old Kleenex box so they come out like tissue
