E is scared of stuffed animals. He's starting to warm up to them a little bit but he won't touch/hold them for long amounts of time. He's also scared of his rocking horse...it makes noise if you squeeze it's ear and moves it's head up and down. It actually kind of scares me too haha

@Running Elley: Hahaha we have the same rocking horse. LO likes it but it scares the crap out of me (and our dog!).
Honestly the only time I've ever seen her scared is when she's fallen. I can't think of any objects that scare her.

Our dog and the vacuum...if it's off he walks up to it and 'growls' but when we turn it on he throws his hands in the air and runs away like a maniac!

She shakes and bawls when she sees the Swiffer vacuum.

according to daycare, she cries every time the trash bag is changed in their room...go figure!

@babyjmama: Oh E is scared of the vacuum too! Whenever he's in the same room as it he always has to be facing it so it can't sneak up on him hahaha!

E is scared of walking on her own, even though she can do it. And she's starting to have a fear of doctors, she took a swing at one on Tuesday. Yikes

Nothing yet, and that in and of itself scares me.

This is weird, but pictures of my ILs. He adores them in person, but completely freaks out when he sees pictures of them. My SIL made him one of those "Who loves baby?" books for his birthday? With pictures of all of our family members in it? As soon as it turns to the page with MIL and FIL he bursts into hysterical tears and runs off.
Outside of me and DH he spends the most time with them, and I don't think he understands that it's not ACTUALLY them (as in, they didn't shrink down and stop moving?). We're seeing them on Saturday, and I'm going to bring the book with us so he can see them in person and the pictures at the same time so he'll hopefully grasp that they're still here, if that makes any sense...

@babyjmama: J does that too! Mean daddies! Last time I was vacuuming E was kind of playing chicken with it LOL. He'd walk curiously towards it and then when it got too close he'd run away!

She's afraid of Elmo.
She gets very little screen time but every morning when I comb her hair I let her watch blues clues or bubble guppies. She had her first fever on Tuesday and was very cranky so I thought I'd indulge my sicky and let her watch Sesame Street. Cue total freak out with big tears. Switched it to bubble guppies and she starts bouncing up and down and clapping. Go figure. -

Hmmm I've never seen him get scared of objects. Just the other day, I coughed and it scared him. He got this look of terror on his face and hurriedly curled up next to me.

she is terrified of anything that moves on its on - crawl ball, the head on the stride to ride puppy, etc.

loud noises, he has really sensitive ears! He hates the vaccum (cant use it unless he is in another room and someone has him)

EVERYTHING.
If I drop something and it makes a "bang!" as it hits the floor, he'll cry.
If DH sneezes too loud, he'll cry.
If a dog barks, he stiffens up.
If I play 'peek-a-boo' too aggressively, he cries.
He's a big baby

@Running Elley: aww poor little E! Tor adores stuffed toys but he is terrified of the vacuum to the extent the he cries even before I start running it. All I have to do is take it out and he clubs to me and starts getting so upset. The same goes for blenders or anything that makes the loud crunching sound. He was a little weirded out when we took him on the merry go round too. He kind of turned catatonic

The Tigger toy from my in laws and the carbon monoxide detector. He reset it yesterday and scared himself. Elmo is huge here too. My nephews were enamored of him at this age. It's like a baby rite of passage.

She's afraid of life size characters (people dressed in a character costume with the big heads). She was also afraid of Santa last Christmas.

@Running Elley: We have the same horse!! And LO was so afraid of it we moved it to MIL's house. She would stop dead in her tracks and scream if she "found" it.
She's also afraid of the vacuum cleaner and public bathrooms.

our magic bullet. he can't even look at the base of it without freaking out. any other loud noise he is fine with, just not the magic bullet. go figure!

She's a pretty fearless little thing but yesterday we went to a fall carnival and had our first (attempted) pony ride. LO was having *none* of the pony. Lots of screaming and clinging to mama. Poor Bambi the pony.
