We aren't having a party for LO, but will have parents over for cake and dinner. Luckily my mom is good at decorating, so she is going to make LO an Olaf cake (what she asked for!), it'll be chocolate with buttercream frosting. I'm excited for her to see it!

DD1 got a Curious George banana cake when we celebrated with family. Then on her actual birthDAY I made her a Daniel Tiger cake (2 years in a row!) per her request. 
This year she has asked for a chocolate & banana cake, with strawberries & bananas on top and sprinkles. 
I think I can make that happen.
And blue cupcakes for everyone else!!
DD2 got a whale themed banana with cream cheese frosting cake for her first.

She wants cupcakes with blue icing to take to school and then donuts for her gymnastics/friend party. Then a Costco cake for the family party since it is the cheapest way to feed the masses. She picked out the rainbow design, but we didn't give her a choice on the cake. She will probably only eat a little icing on the cupcake and a donut. She won't touch the cake.

This year, it is just a Costco cake- Vanilla at his request.

My aunt does awesome cake decorating and I thought that now with a kid I'd try to learn... But it hasn't happened yet. For 1st birthday it was carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. For bday #2 it was home-made non dairy ice cream cake. I was feeling adventurous but DS wasn't a fan, ha-ha.

DS just got a big sheet cake at his party (1 week prior to his b-day). It was white champagne cake with strawberry filling with whipped cream. He destroyed his piece.
On this actual birthday I made him a small homemade smash cake. Yellow butter cake with chocolate frosting.

We had a rainbow cake from a Hawaiian bakery - it was layers of red, green, and yellow, with guava inside. So good! She wanted pink w/sprinkles; I added some Shopkins to fit our theme

This year it was a Daniel tiger cake, vanilla cake with whipped cream cream cheese frosting. She liked that it was Daniel but loved that it was cake. But she still talks about her Daniel cake so it was worth it.

For his first I made Paula Deen's sour cream pound cake. For his second we're doing a piñata cake with mini m&ms. Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. He has a sweet tooth like mama!
