Right now what is motivating me is fitting into my old pre pregnancy skinny clothes.

Usually the way my body looks (I'm short so even a 5lb weight gain can be noticed by me (pudgy tummy and love handles), and especially the much tighter fit in clothes) and the number on the scale. The number on the scale usually motivates me to eat healthier.

The way that I feel afterwards is my immediate motivator!! Longer term weight loss is motivating me right now.

I feel better and I like being strong and fit. I like looking fit...I don't like when I get tired doing menial tasks or can't lift something. It's definitely "me" time that just makes me feel 100x better

How I feel the days I DON'T work out is a big motivator. For me it's as necessary a part of my routine as brushing my teeth or taking a shower. I don't ever think "gosh, how do I make the time to brush my teeth every day?" - well, I'd feel gross and have terrible breath and regret it all day if I didn't, so it's not a question. That's how I feel about working out.

I NEED a better motivator because my weight gain, my body, my diet don't do it and instead I just mope around feeling sorry for myself. what is wrong with me!? I really need to find something that inspires me.

I don't work out much, but when my jeans get tight in the butt I usually try to be more active and cut back on junk food.
@eeh: @.twist.: Just think, if you work out then you can eat more donuts...that's how it works, right?

@tororojo: haha is it?? before I was pregnant, the only thing that motivated me was that if I kept working out, I could still drink beer. haha. terrible motivator!
