What names didn't you choose for your lo? Would you use them for future kids?
We didn't have a list. We just went through a book and as we came to names we liked, we picked them. I'd say the only one we left was my middle name. It didn't go with her first name.

Waylon for a boy- no since both my and DDs names end with son. Our future boy name is Nash.
We did not use Willa, Gemma, Poppy. We will not reuse. Our girl name is Camielle. I still love Magnolia. We will see.

When we were picking for dd we didn't choose Seraphina, Clara, Mirabel, and Elisabeth.
I would def still use Elisabeth at least as a middle, not sure about the others.
For Ds we didn't choose Noah, Malachi, Isaac, or Colin. We probably wouldn't use them for a future son.

If C had been a boy she probably would have been Xavier. But when I got pregnant again we just never considered it again, didn't feel right.
This little one was going to be Hazel Grace up until this week. Took us ten hours after she was born to decide on another name.

A LOT. We had almost 50 girl names on our list. We definitely had to cut Elsa for obvious reasons. 
(I checked my google doc edit history, I definitely added that one years before the movie!)

We both loved Amelia, but couldn't agree on how to pronounce it. I say "a-MEE-lia", DH says " a-MEL-ia", so we scrapped it. Still kinda bummed about dropping that one, but wasn't worth the potential lifelong disagreement on our daughter's name. Lol!

Ellery - not as classic as I wanted and too many little "Ellies" around already
Ezra - DH kept trying to convince me it was a good name for a girl. Still not sure if he was serious.

Rowan. We loved it for a long time but when I finally got pregnant it didn't feel right. We also loved Mia but couldn't agree on whether to name her Amelia and call her Mia or just name her Mia. We won't use either in the future.

Hmm we pretty much knew her name was "it" from around 20 weeks on, but before then we also considered Emily, Emma, and Ava. In the end we decided those were all too popular.
ETA: No more babies so we won't use them in the future, but we did use our top boy name (Henry) for the kitten we got last year!

Nothing's really on the cutting room floor yet, but I love Felix for a boy, and my H isn't into it. So probably a no-go, sadly 
@Mrs. Pickle: Rowan is my FAVORITE girl name! My DH has been referring to this pregnancy as Rowan since we found out, haha. I keep saying, "It might be a boy..." but he just says we don't have any boy names yet.

For DD1, our "almost" names were Everly and Hazel.
For DD2, our "almost" name was Francesca.
For DD3, our "almost" names were Poppy, Eliza, and Daphne.

@lawbee11: Our name tastes are so similar! We have an Emily and love it, but your DD's name (edited to remove the name in case you don't want your Lo's name out there!) is our most likely girl name if this baby currently baking is a girl, and Henry is one of our top contenders if it's a boy!

Probably wouldn't reconsider them as Avery is so popular now and my MIL has a very bad association with Audrey. We LOVE Audrey, but my MIL is not someone who's demanding at all, so we are happy to oblige her rare request.

@yin: crazy! My DSs name is Henry and Calvin was the other name we were considering (after my grandpa!) you don't hear it much. What name dos you end up using, if you don't mind?
If we have another boy, Calvin would definitely be the top contender. We only had one girls name and we would still use it. Eliza Kate, after my sister.

We scraped the name Cooley for our girl. We were IN LOVE with this name as we liked the sound of it and it relates to one of our favorite musical artists, but we did a little research and found that it sounds like a word that has a bad meaning in some cultures. I was lobbying for Toby for our girl but he vetoed. I think we're done with babies, but I'm holding on to our boy options, JIC.
