What newsletter(s) did you sign up for when you were pregnant? Which ones are worth it, and which are just irritating? I'm thinking I'll only want to sign up for one, but I know there are lots of options! And, if there are two that are very different and both helpful, I'll sign up for more than one. Thanks for your help!

Instead of signing up for more email, I got an app and checked it on my phone whenever I wanted to read about the baby's progress.

I did a few apps and just read along until I found one I liked. To be honest, I ended up not liking any of them and will just sporadically googling what might be happening during a various week. I suppose I just like to be surprised, haha.

I liked the I'm Expecting app, not a fan of getting e-mails. Mostly just because it told me what size the baby was and has a widget.

I downloaded the What to Expect and Sprout apps. If I had to do it again, I would probably stick with Sprout and pay for the upgraded version. WTE was ok but some of the information was sort of annoying (e.g., preachy diet information and the assumption that the same pregnancy symptoms apply to every woman). The information about the baby progress on WTE was fine though, and that's what I was more interested in.

I second Pregnant Chicken and I also like Alpha Mom. I haven't cared for the other newsletters but I like checking in on various apps. I also really like the pregnology website, in particular the "all the days of my pregnancy" page that shows you how far along you are on the calendar.

I just have baby centre and health and pregnancy apps, emails would annoy me. I like the updates on how baby is growing but hate the symptom stuff, it actually quite worried me because they assumed you would be feeling tired and nauseous and that sore boobs would be your first pg symptom. I didn't get sore boobs till 5 weeks and my tiredness fluctuates, plus most people don't feel sick till 6-7 weeks so to write about it as a given in week 5 is a bit sill IMO.

I downloaded the Sprout app. It's fine. I like the week to week info, but daily is stressful for me--they give you an action item for every day, and my symptoms don't match what they describe!
