For the past three summers, the owner of our company decided to do "summer hours." We normally work 5 8 hour days. In the summer - June through August, we get Friday off - and we're still paid!
It was a huge help last year when I was home on maternity leave so I didn't have to take those days as PTO and I'm really going to enjoy those Friday's this year. Mama needs a relaxing day to herself!

Our company is really into their employees being "mobile workers". It doesn't matter where you are! That's a big bonus when i'm visiting family out east. I can still work and not take too many vacation days.
I also get huge discounts off our internet/tv and my cell plan is practically free.
It's a taxable benefit, but we have a personal assistant service. I used it recently to get my dry cleaning picked up and dropped off at my house!

I freelance now so my perk is being at home. But when I was a newspaper reporter the perks were amazing. I got to review (for free) holidays, restaurants, makeup, concerts, music, theatre and interview some cool people. I loved that job.

Perks? What are those? Hahaha. The main perk associated with my job is the paycheck. I'd rather the cash in my pocket above anything else they could give me for free.

I don't have very many perks. They do allow me to switch my hours around if I need a day off, but instill have to work 40 hours. Yuck:(

Honestly, I cannot think of one. I mean, I love my kids and all, but the rest is awful. 2 more weeks and I'm off to a new job!!

We get college tuition assistance -- and free tuition if our kids wind up going to the college where I teach.
There's a "wellness" benefit, where the college will pay for up to $150 towards things like gym memberships, running shoes, or CSA membership each year.
Free admission to all college events. Sometimes they bring in really amazing performers and speakers.
Discounted meals at our (pretty good) dining hall.
Free access to the very nice gym on campus.
Flexible work schedule. This one is always a perk of being a professor. The downside is that I regularly work 60-80 hour weeks, but at least I don't always have to be in my office 9-5.

My employer contributes to our health insurance cost/month, including contributing half of our deductible! Which is really nice considering the cost of health care. Also, we get half off monthly membership to a gym next door. Work allows us to leave in the middle of the day to go workout, which is nice because it easily breaks up the day. Plus, they are very flexible with our hours so any time off needed is ok. All of these things are wonderful when it comes to family needs.

I work at public college and while there are some annoying aspects, there are some good perks:
1. They pay my insurance premium every month. I pay for LO, but I'm covered.
2. I can take one class for free each semester.
3. 1-2 weeks off near Christmas/New Year's. When the college is closed, I'm off!

I get pretty good health/vision/dental benefits.
My boss is flexible with appointments and such. Our PTO is decent, not great. I do get discounted daycare. Cheap lunch/dinner in our dining room that gets deducted from our paycheck.

I get decent benefits and work from home access when needed. My supervisor is also really understanding and nice, especially with work schedules and appointments. that's probably the biggest perk.

@skibobrown: I wish that were more common in Canadian schools. DH tells me it's actually not offered by many schools. I'm hoping in the next 18 years, the union will negotiate that in as a benefit for faculty members! I am very glad that prof work schedules are so flexible...it's been so helpful when i need DH to take time off or do something with LO.

Flexible hours within reason - no one looking over my shoulder if I arrive a few mins late or leave early.
Summer hours - close at 3:30 on Fridays.
Close early on holiday weekends.
Free bagels every friday.
Free coffee/iced tea/cocoa every day.
Lots of free lunches and desserts - at least once a month, usually more.

We have summer hours where we got out half an hour early after Memorial Day. We also have unlimited sick time/days so I don't have to take vacation days for doctor's appointments or illness. You would think that this would lead to a lot absences but it works out well!

-They used to offer free tuition for children of employees at Penn - they've since stopped that benefit, but since I started working for the system before they cut it, I'd still qualify (assuming I"m still working here in 18 years...and assuming my kid is smart enough to get into Penn!).
-We get our transportation deducted pre-tax (I take the train to work).
-Discounts on our cell phones.
-They provide financial assistance for adoption and/or IF treatment.
-My boss is pretty flexible with our time.
-Wellness program so you get cheaper health insurance if you don't smoke, and can get money back if you are an active gym-goer.
Overall, I think my company offers great benefits. They work pretty hard to make sure their employees are happy!

Tons. Cell phone discount, childcare, discounts at a ton of restaurants/stores in town, free tickets to sporting events and concerts on occasion, tuition assistance, adoption assistance, wholesale prices on tons of items like furniture and electronics, free Weight Watchers, workout classes, a wellness program to reduce your insurance costs, all kinds of stuff. They also offer lots of events around town that are family inclusive, like reserving the local zoo for employees. I am really appreciative of all they offer!

DH and I both work for them, and my boss is very understanding about one of us needing to be off to pick-up LO from daycare. He recently redesigned my position so that I can do more in the company and will be able to earn more. Oh, and we get discounted dry-cleaning.
@Freckles: Most areas have dry-cleaners that will pick-up and deliver your cleaning to your home at no extra charge. It's something that more and more cleaners are doing.

Otherwise, i would totally take advantage of it. My parents owned a dry cleaners with delivery service, but you paid a little more per item. I miss the perks of a bigger city!

Flexibility. We own our own business, so we can take whatever time off or work from home whenever. For instance we're getting a new puppy next week so we'll probably work from home more often for the next little while.

I recently have gone out on my own consulting full time, so although there are many scary things (like, no set paycheck!), there are also many benefits. I talked to a client this morning while in yoga pants and a t-shirt, no makeup on, in my kitchen.
main perks are working at home and having more flexible hours. LO will be going down to 3 days a week at daycare, so I'll get to spend more time with her too (although that will mean longer hours logged while she's at daycare).

I have a very flexible schedule, I can leave in the middle of the day and come back, I can pick up C from school and bring him back with me, M came to work with until she was mobile. My boss buys me lunch and coffee all the time, he takes C out for icecream, he buys us all kinds of goodies from different vendors and he pays for our life policies. I have no medical, dental, pto, no retirement, nothing in those terms. I also work two miles from home.

Hmm. We have decent benefits, which is nice. Every quarter we get a bonus depending on our clinic's sales. And if I wanted, I could get hearing aids at cost. Wahoo!

My job is really flexible. I can come in earlier and later, and just adjust what time I leave. I can also take off if Jacob is sick or have something going on myself. I recently had to get a colonoscopy with little notice, and my boss was fine with it. I got paid for it, too.
The medical benefits are really good. Also, get free short-term disability and I have $70,000 in life insurance and then a policy for my LO - under $5 a month. Also, have the typical dental and vision.
Other perks .... they have a massive Christmas party every year. Free meal and open bar and everyone gets a present. I had only been there a week when they had it, and I got a $50 gift card to Target and a bottle of wine. Once you've been there 10 years, they give you a big screen TV.
They also do things on other holidays as well. On Mother's Day, they gave us flowers and on Valentine's Day, we got boxes of chocolate covered strawberries. When it's your birthday, you get your own cake.

The only real perk that I love is the flexibility.
As long as we do our time, we can pretty much work whenever we want.
9/80 schedule, we work 9 hours Mon- Thur, then every other Friday 8 hours and every other Friday is off.
"Modified time".. if we can work extra hours one day and apply them to another day.
$125 wellness credit... which I never take advantage of.

@mediagirl: what an awesome perk!
My job is very flexible (a lot of us work from home and hours and vacay are totally flexible) and I get reimbursed for insurance since I use my husbands. Also, if I lived near our office and commuted in everyday they would pay for transportation.
