Currently we have a little First Years umbrella stroller for quick trips around town, and our jogging stroller for more outdoorsy stuff.
LO2 is due late Feb/early March and the weather will likely be really cold here. I really want to go to the mall and walk around or something with my newborn. Should I get a double stroller? A different single with a car seat attachment? A snap and go? What would you get? The kids will be about 16 months apart.

I have an Uppa Baby Vista so we'll just get the rumble seat. But if I were going to get a double stroller I really like the double city mini.

@matador84: we had the double city mini side-by-side and it was great for shopping/short distance walking. I ended up not using it frequently since I bought a double bob to run with. Besides my LO's are further apart in age but I would have used it more if they were closer.
The side by side was the only stroller where both LO's were content and the city mini was the same width as a wheel chair so it was easy to get through store doors and shopping areas.

@HLK208: it seems like a pretty good option. does it have an adapter for a car seat? how do you like it folded up? i drive an outback and have a pretty big trunk, but don't want it to take up the whole thing like I feel like my jogger does.

@matador84: i'd get the B-Ready.
1- car seat compatible
2- huge weight range to fit toddlers for a long time
3- disassembles to become a single stroller
4- folds up well even with second seat still attached
5- is not a side to side (think mall walking, width..aisles ...)
6- sells VERY well. I mean, people are selling their used strollers for $300 like hotcakes. And you can get it for like $350. So, good ROI.
All that being said: the side by side Britax b Agile tempts me, too. For all the same reasons. Only thing that stop me is width.

@TurtleDoves: Okay, I need to look it up. do I need the britax car seat to use the b-ready? our infant carrier is a chicco keyfit 30 and i hate to get a different one since they're so expensive.
but...all those are pretty good perks as well!

@matador84: it folded up to be pretty flat but I think you can only use the car seat adapter with two car seats (I never used it because the stroller had the option of laying flat which was fine for 6 weeks+). Autumnlove has the same stroller and she laid her DD2 flat early on too.

I got a city mini double and I love it!
My kids are almost 21 months apart.
I was going to make do without a double, but I'm so glad I decided to get it!

@HLK208: that would be great if i didn't need an adapter! but...it is so nice to be able to just go carseat to stroller! (something i didn't do with my first, but i saw friends do and would be oh so jealous of not having to worry about waking a sleeping bambino!)

@matador84: I don't have any advice . . .I mean, you're talking to someone who bought the B-Ready over the UBV because the B-Ready was a better double stroller even though I am very very likely just having 1 baby!!! I am popping in just because I LOVE strollers!

I think Britax is a big fat copy cat.
They made b-ready like the UBV
and the b-agile like the City Mini
I test drove all 4 and preferred Britax for so many reasons, and ultimately was woo'd by priced. I have the B-agile for my son. If I get pregnant anytime soon, I will without hesitation buy the B-ready.

@matador84: They have the B-ready set-up, out of box, at my BRU. I have *never* seen the B Agile double there, but the b-agile single is. Check out BRU if it is closer.
Also BRU might carry the car seat adapter for your FIT. Maybe see how you like it? It can hold you over for a few weeks if you don't get your double in time.
In my option (this is coming from a girl who is TTC for #2), a double is necessary to contain both kids easily. I mean, it is a convenience, maybe not a necessity, but as a mother, I am a *firm* believer that CONVENIENCE=NECESSITY.

We're the crazy people pregnant with #1 that have both a b-ready *and* a b-agile. I LOVE the b-ready. It handles like a dream. I had started a thread a couple days ago because I was so sad that our car seat didn't work in my car and I was upset I might have to give up our b-ready. We ended up getting the universal adaptor and it seems to work great.
If you want any pics, let me know :). The b-ready and the agile are sitting in our living room right now because we were playing with them and the adaptor, lol.

@matador84: I held off on getting a double until DS was old enough to sit in it! I think he was 5-6 months old when we got it?
Before the double, we used our snap and go + DD walked or ergo + umbrella when we went out.

@chopsuey: good call! i have an ergo and DS still loves to be worn and I hope LO2 does too. The universal adaptor for the FIT might be a good temporary solution until I get in the swing of things with both babies.

I waited until my baby was 5 weeks old and we test drove several double options. We bought a City Mini GT double and we love it!

@MrsCB: Thanks! Thats neat to see. One of the big features I like about the B ready is how high up the child sits. You can pull them up to a table, and when walking aroud the zoo and stuff she could actually see things.
