Also, how old is/are your lo's?
Since my lo is still too young to know how to cover herself with a blanket, we keep the house at 68 degrees. She wears fleece pj's to bed.

I don't have any LO's, but we keep our heat at 67-68 during the day, and 66 at night. To me it's freezing!!! but I would rather save money and bundle up!

Xander's 7.5 months and we keep our heat at 72 (though it's often warmer in his room, which is upstairs).

11 mths - we have it on a cycle between 68-72 at different hours of the day. LO's room has a vornado heater we use on top of the house heat and is usually at 75*
He runs warm and hates fleece pjs so we do cotton or terry pjs + sleep sack in the winter months. and an a+a blanket but that's more for touching that him using as a heat device

We keep the heat on 67-68 which makes the upstairs around 64! We just layered the kids when they were young but now they both use blankets (2.5 and 5 yrs)

Last year we kept the house between 68-70 and our heating bills were well over $500/month. This year I’m keeping the heat at 64/65 and using space heaters in rooms we are using. I preheat the bathroom for LO’s bath and preheat the bedroom with the fireplace we have in there before I put her to bed, so it’s between 68-70 for part of the night in the bedroom. She wear fleece all fall/winter/spring to sleep in.

She is 7.5 months and her room is colder then our room. So we keep it at 70-72 and DH end up sweaty at night

No LOs, but our heat is set to 68. We live in an apartment and don't control the thermostat, although our landlord said if we were too cold/hot we should let him know. I think 68 is just about perfect, though.

DH is a heat nazi, so it's at 62 during the day and 60 at night. I told him that will be changing once we have a LO!

Oh my gosh. This is crazy to me! Ours is set at 71 and I think it's freezing! I would love for it to be at 73, but my DH is very particular about the thermostat.

@pastemoo: woah. That is COLD!!! Do you use space heaters?
ETA: Before lo, ours was set to 63.

We have a couple months before LO arrives, but right now we generally keep the heat at 66 when we're home/awake and 62 or 63 when we're away/sleeping. We sometimes turn it up to 68 if we're feeling particularly chilly in the evenings, but that depends. I imagine we'll keep it a bit warmer once our LO comes, but I'm NOT looking forward to the cost of that.

Right now our house is at like 55 but that's because I don't want to turn the heat on yet. We bundle up with a heated throw when we are watching tv. Once we turn the heat on we will keep it at 60 at night.

68 is waaaay too cold for me. 72 is my lowest limit! i prefer 75.

We keep it at 74. I'm amazed at anyone who keeps it below 70!?? My kids are 5 and 2 yr. Guess we like it toasty. Also, we have two rooms (where three of us sleep) that are drafty, and they are hotter in the summer, and cooler in the winter than the rest of the house, so we keep the temp of the house according to those rooms.

Before LO we had ours at 65. Now it's set at 68 and his room is usually more like 72 becasue it's upstairs.

@pastemoo: brrrrr!!!! That's crazy!
Ours is at 67 at night and 63 during the day while we're gone. It never feels too cold. I wear sweat pants and slippers around the house. J is 16mo and runs hot-especially when he sleeps.

We have ours at 68 now that we have a LO. Last year we had it set to 60 and I was always cold. I hated it!

Ours is at 71 during the day (when we're home) and 68 or 69 at night. D is 9 months. He sleeps in a sleep and play. As the weather gets colder, I may put him in a sleep sack, as well.

I'm surprised at how many of you ladies have it so chilly!! LO is 3 months and we're at 71. Even then I think it's a bit chilly!

19 Celsius over night....I think that's mid to high 60s Fahrenheit.

we don't have any LOs, but usually we keep it at 65 when we're home and awake and 60 or 62 when we're gone/sleeping. we went a whole year without turning on our heat once (in new england!), but we live on the top floor of an apartment building so we get other peoples' heat.

59 at night and 62 during the day. I think I usually keep it at 64 but decided to keep it at 62 this year. We have a heater in LO's room and set it to 67 at night. He wears fleece footie pajamas and likes it colder.

@mrs. bird: ugh I miss free heat (from downstairs neighbors). But I don't miss sharing walls/parking with them!!

@Shutterbug: your hubs is hardcore! haha. DH is the opposite, he tells me he can't handle the cold because he's african, i remind him we don't live in africa so he better bundle up! his family does keep their heat at 80+, they wear shorts and tank tops inside in the winter, so i think when he compares where i keep our heat to where he's used to having it, i'm an ice princess. free heat from our neighbors is nice.... the 4 sets of stairs to get to our apartment, i could do without

It depends. Right now, we're not even running the heat because the temps have still been so warm during the day. I think we usually set it to around 67 during the day (when we're not there) and 72 when we're there.
