This is my third baby in four years (AH!) and so I don't need too much, but there are somethings that I need replacing and/or just need to buy. I don't need anything like carseats or strollers, but the smaller stuff like crib bedding, (hopefully) Beco Gemini, etc.
So, what kind of things do you think are ok to buy used? Where would you buy them from?

And also I belong to local FB resale groups. I've gotten great deals on bigger toy items I wouldn't want to pay shipping for!
I would get used: carriers, strollers, clothes, shoes, toys.

I didn't buy these things used, but got them handed down to me, and I don't think they needed to be new:
Swing, Bouncy Seat, Bassinet, Clothes, Toys, Books

Toys and clothes FOR SURE! I check Craigslist (usually there are people in my subdivision selling stuff!), garage sales, the moms of multiples twice yearly sales, and the high schools also have big groups of moms selling used stuff twice a year (spring and fall typically). It's all used, all at once, and all super cheap! I got a really great mobile that E loves, activity gyms, exersaucer....I'd get a jumparoo if i wasn't borrowing one from a friend.

These things I got used from my SIL or close friend: swing, crib, carrier, clothes, exercauser, car seat, pump and stroller. I am not sure where I'd draw the line on what to accept. I wouldn't take a used crib mattress but from a family member or close friend most things I'd accept!

I would take most things used from friends/family. Clothes I would buy used, and I'm looking for a used jogging stroller.

@regberadaisy: I know! There's a BOB Ironman on Craigslist that someone wants $150 for. It's definitely older and faded. I'm considering it even though it's a fixed wheel. It's either that or everyone is selling double strollers and I only need a single.

DH and I have discussed this and the only things we came up with that we definitely WOULDN'T buy used are carseats, crib mattress, and toiletry-type stuff. Everything else is case-by-case, since I might borrow a crib from a friend but might not buy one off craigslist, for instance. I just bought a new(ish?) k'tan off NBD because they're nearly impossible to find used around here, but I have certainly been looking! We got a pack 'n play in great condition at a yard sale, and I've been scoping out the local secondhand/consignment baby stuff stores (we have some great ones here) for other gear, clothes, toys, etc.
