We asked their views on the following:
- vaccinations/delayed vaccination schedules
- circumcision
- breastfeeding
- whether they have weekend/evening hours
- if there's a separate sick child waiting area
- what hospital they're affiliated with
- whether they are informed about/supportive of homeopathic/alternative medicines
- if they have breastfeeding/new mom support through their office
I think that's it! They also had information that they went over with us.

We just met with a pediatrician this week and asked the following questions:
1. Can we choose our “primary” doctor? ( we visited a large group)
2. Will you be available at the hospital after the birth? Who will do the circumcision if it’s a boy?
3. What is your view on vaccinations?
4. How far in advance can we book a well –child visit?
5. As a pediatrician, what are your biggest concerns about children's health?
6. What is the best way to contact you if I have a non-emergency question?
7. What about special needs?
8. What if my baby gets sick when the office is closed? Who covers in an emergency if you aren’t on call?
We did not want to be too interview-y and this list was a great jumping-off point for me.

@mrsjyw: that is sooo awesome. I was super lucky the first time too and didn't have to see anyone else. She was my midwife's referral.

@Coco Bee: totally thought of you after leaving thinking "wow i only needed to see one pediatrician!"

@mrsjyw: I saw SUPER worried about it too because we have many alternative views so I needed someone who as okay with extended breastfeeding, cosleeping etc turns out she herself practices all those things!
Someone made a comment though that the ped is a girl and I have a boy... it's not an issue to me but I wonder how it will be as DS gets older.
