What toys did you have high hopes for that were actually flops?

I put the zany zoo on DS's wish list for Christmas after discovering it on HB but now I'm rethinking it since so many of you say it is a fail.

@Bluemasonjar: My LO plays with his Zany Zoo most days!

For us it's the ride on toy he gots for his first Christmas. He's terrified of it. And ILs have plans to get him another ride on toy this year too I think. It makes me stressed to think about another giant toy that he won't play with!

@simplyfelicity: my son has always loved wire toys and activity cubes, so you never know!

Flops for us: tricycle, play kitchen.
    Biggest wins: Duplos, trains

@T.H.O.U.: She turned 3 in August, she may be too young.

Some of these were not that interesting for dd at first but now that she is making up her own stories and stuff she uses them in new ways. Or she just grew into things. Like the rocking horse I got at my shower...she hated that until she was about two, then loved it. I can't honestly think of anything that has been a total flop.

Sophie. Neither one of my kids ever took to her.

my oldest hates anything that moves and shouldn't. still - at age 3. so forget any sort of power wheel, remote control anything, etc.

Beautiful wooden blocks! Disappointed because she has many other building toys that she loves but ignored the handmade artisan blocks.
