I stopped watching New Girl. It's just not that funny to me. I also stopped watching Revenge and Nashville, but recently caught up because I've had so much insomnia recently! I don't follow too many shows, but since I started watching Brooklyn 99, The Blacklist and Almost Human, this season I had to drop some shows because I didn't have the time.
Have you stopped watching any shows recently? Why?

Yep!
Revolution (just thought the 2nd season got stupid);
Hart of Dixie (I caught up on netflix but then found when I had to watch them a week apart I lost interest);
Dexter (we heard the last season was stupid so we sort of lost interest when we got it);
True Blood (once we had to wait a year for the new season we lost interest);
Sons of Anarchy (once we had to wait a year for the new season we lost interest)….
I see a theme lol. I think netflix has sort of ruined me for normal tv. Even if I really love a show, the 8-9mo wait between seasons is enough to make me totally forget what is going on and find it impossible to care when the next season starts.

Gosh basically everything. We don't have a TV or Internet at home, but I try to catch up on my VERY favorites when we are around Internet. I'm over a season behind on NCIS...

How I met your mother. I used to love this show but this season isn't doing it for me anymore. I feel like they dragged the story line out too much.

I go through spurts of watching different shows since we DVR everything we watch. So I won't watch New Girl for several months but then we'll catch up.
I stopped watching Glee altogether.

We don't have cable, but I used to watch Nashville and scandal on abc's iPad app, but they made it so you have to verify your cable provider before watching now, so I guess I'm done with those!

@sweet_p: me too, I used to love himym but the last season has been a train wreck. I switched it on one night and saw that Marshall was still on that stupid cross country trip with the baby and said forget it!

@sweet_p: @Aimed: I agree. I am too invested at this point to stop now though. It is frustrating because this season has been AWFUL but I am determined to see it through to the end!
I gave up on The Walking Dead. I tried to like it because DH loves it but I just don't understand the hype.

I stopped watching Grey's Anatomy & Private Practice a few years ago - I felt like they both just jumped the shark.
I have been binge watching Law & Order SVU but I needed a break! I record it & it's on SO much, I think I have like 80 episodes haha.

Revolution and Almost Human — we just don't have time! We stopped watching Walking Dead, because DH can't handle it. I stopped watching Grey's Anatomy years ago, but occasionally will catch up on an episode here and there. I still love New Girl!

Girls and how I met your mother. The former just makes me roll my eyes too hard, and I find all of the characters to be self involved and entitled (which, I get, is part of the point, but I think I'm just too old for a show about 22 year olds trying to "find themselves") and the later lost my interest a couple seasons ago.
Occasionally I watch how I met, because I want to see how it ends, but I'm not caught up or watching it regularly.
I should stop watching law and order svu, it is so bad now. Every time I watch an episode I complain to my husband about how bad it's gotten (which really bums me out because it used to be so good). But I just can't quit Olivia.

@Mae: We binged watched the first three seasons of Dexter and took a lonnnnng break (like, 2 years). We just finished watching season 5 on Netflix last night, and at the end of the last episode, my husband looked at me and said, "Dexter has jumped the shark." I don't know if we'll watch anymore.
We stopped watching Parks and Rec. I liked to watch that show for laughs, and when they started to focus on the romance side of things, they lost me. I'm worried the same thing might happen with the Mindy Project! I loved 30 Rock, but the last season was a miss for me.

Law and Order: SVU. We really tried once Stabler was gone, but it is just not the same. We still watch re-runs whenever they are one though. But without Stabler it is just not as good (and less eye candy...man I love Christoper Meloni!).
Also, Two Broke Girls. We used to watch it every week after HIMYM but that was when we didn't have cable and a DVR. I am over it. How many sex/boob jokes/innuendos can you really get away with in one series?!

@Silva: I stopped watching Girls, too. I loved the first season though (Shoshana on crack is one of my favorite TV moments ever!). None of the characters are like able and Lena Dunham's nudity is excessive.

I feel like Lena Dunham's immaturity really showed in the season 2 finale, with everyone kind of reverting to the old, worst versions of themselves and not progressing. When I first watched it, I thought that was her point, but then in the commentary she was all "squee! Happy endings! Romance!" And my cynical old self was done with it.
