The OC. It was on air when I was in high school. I loved that show!

Another vote for Pushing Daisies, Sex and the City and Friends. LOST (because I was not happy how they ended it.) and October Road. Dexter and Desperate Housewives are ending soon, wish they could continue.
On the DH's list: Arrested Development, The Shield, Rescue Me, Soprano's.

@AmeliaBedelia: The first thing I thought of when I read the thread was Full House but didn't want to admit it! Haha. Thanks for admitting it!

@Pepper: Oh, just saw that you said Full House, too. Looks like there are 3 of us who want that back.
Oh, I just thought of another show/ cartoon. Jimmy Neutron! I loved that cartoon! Now, I guess I have to say Sailor Moon, too.

@bluestriped bee: I was beginning to think I'd imagined October Rd! No one even remembers it around me! I thought it had such a good idea behind it.

Friends, Still Standing, and I really wish they would have kept Playboy Club around. I really like the first couple of episodes of it! I love shows set in different decades.

@mrbee: 10 seasons wasn't enough for you?
@tequiero21: I'm also sad The Gates wasn't renewed. That show was really interesting!
I miss Farscape a lot. Also Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. And I miss The Event had another season just so I could see what happened. Oh! And Tru Calling! That show was just getting good when it was canceled! Also Gilmore Girls...
ETA: Oh yeah! Ghost Whisperer! Can't believe I forgot that one. Oh, and Kings... that definitely needed another season.

@Adira: kings - is that the one on nbc with the whole play on david and saul? i LOVED that show! i wish they renewed! dang i watch way too much tv.

@tequiero21: You and me both! And yes, that was the King David reimaging. I LOVED it! It was sooooo unique. Plus Ian McShane is amazing. I was so bummed it was cancelled.

@Adira: It was a different show by the end, when he actually becomes Superman. I'd like to see that show.

My So Called Life really spoke to me in middle school.
And Arrested Development - but it's coming back! Does that still count?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@mrbee: haha, I know what you mean, but the creators had said they were never going to do that show. Smallville was always supposed to be the journey leading up to him becoming Superman and they didn't plan to show anything past that. I'm happy with how it ended (thought I wish they showed more of him in his suit instead of just close ups of his face and then really zoomed out so you couldn't see anything).
It's not Smallville, but you might enjoy Merlin, which has a similar premise to Smallville, in that it's showing the journey of Merlin before he became the wise old wizards we all know and love. It kind of mucks up some of what we know of the legend of Arthur, but it's very enjoyable.

@mrbee: You could also go back and watch Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. That's still really enjoyable (though slightly dated).
admin / wonderful grape / 20724 posts
@Adira: Yah, Smallville was definitely about Clark slowly becoming Superman. I'd like to see a new show about Clark balancing his life as a reporter and a superhero. Lois & Clark was a long time ago...
admin / wonderful grape / 20724 posts
@Adira: Sadly, I own all the DVDs of Lois & Clark. I even had them taped to a VCR from when they first aired.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@mrbee: It was a long time ago but it's still excellent! My husband and I rewatched it (Netflix instant-streaming) after watching Smallville. We probably won't have another series on TV about Superman for a while until WB no longer has the rights to him.

@plantains: OMG, I can't believe I forgot Firefly!!!! One of the best shows EVER!!!!!

@Adira: I miss that show so desperately. It was just too far ahead of its time I guess.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@plantains: Agreed. I love everything that Joss Whedon does. I am glad that it at least got a movie (Serenity), which was excellent. Do you watch Castle at all? The writers of that show must've been Firefly fans because every so often they inject a reference. One of the Halloween episodes has Castle (who's played by Nathan Fillion) dress up as a "space cowboy" (he was in his Mal outfit). It was soooo funny.
