I started working at Dairy Queen at 14. Such a Midwest stereotype I feel like I worked there for 6 years, into college! My BFFs mom owned it so we all worked there and ruled the place, it was a fun high school memory and then I was manager in college.

Over the summer at 15 I was an assistant at a tennis club (sweeping courts, answering phones, laundry). Super glamorous stuff.
At 16 I took a job as a congressional intern. Stayed there until college.

At 14 I was a CIT (Counselor in training) at a day camp for elementary school students. It was volunteer but my mom paid me $50/week for doing it.

I worked at a local pharmacy at the cashier! It was great because some of my best friends worked with me and the pharmacist always bought us dinner from our favorite deli the nights we worked!! I still go back and visit the pharmacist to say hi and he still gives me a discount!

I grew up in a ski resort town, and my very first job was a seasonal one--bussing tables at the day lodge of the restaurant! People are soooo messy!! It was gross but the money was pretty good (at least for my 14-year-old self!).
